How to Get Ager's Scepter in Destiny 2 - Exotic Rifle Guide
Ager's Scepter is one of the new exotic weapons in Destiny Season 2 of The Vanish. Let's take a look at the weapons and, more importantly, the quests you'll need to complete before you can get your hands on one.
This season's list of exotics expands with the addition of a Season Pass exclusive Accelerator Lawrence and hidden from prying eyes by Mara Sov Scepter of Ager. Both of these weapons were featured in the Season 15 trailer and fans have been wanting to get their hands on them ever since.
While Accelerator Lawrence now fully tested, our greedy hands are moving on to Ager's Scepter and the insanely long set of quests that allow us to obtain it.
Here's everything you need to know about atlas distortions, navigation charts, and the path to the scepter.
How to get Ager's Scepter in Destiny 2
Mara Sov safely hid from prying eyes a weapon of great power, destined for her brother Uldren. The wielder of the Ager Scepter holds the key to previously unreachable corners of the Shattered World. Understand the intricacies of Awakened defenses and get to exotic weapons before they fall into the hands of the enemy.
There is a long way to go if you are on the path to get the Scepter of Ager. Before you can start pursuing this weapon, you will need to complete the introductory quest for Season 15. In this quest, you'll start by tracking down Osiris before eventually starting to work with Mara Sov and Petra Venj.
The quest is not difficult, but will take some time, as it will take you back and forth from S.L.E.M. between locations. Before all is said and done, you will head to the Tower where you will speak with Ikora Rey and complete the quest.
Once you're done with all of that, you can accept the Star Route I quest at Mara Sov's quarters in the Dreaming City.
Week 1: Gather Navigational Schematics in Divalian Mists, Kera's Ridge, and Lost Sectors
Mara Sov carefully looks into your eyes and says: “I have a task for you. It is shrouded in legends, in which, however, there is a shadow of truth. She tells you the beginning of the tale of the Awoken about the creation of two powerful relics. She wants you to get one for her. One of her paladins noticed an object created by the awakened, which moved between ours and the Highest dimensions. Mara Sov asks you to find this item in order to find the path to the lost treasure.
Star Route I
These quests are a real headache. Each week, Mara Sov will send you on an adventure through different parts of the Dreaming City. The goal is to collect five objects called Navigation Systems that are uncomfortably scattered throughout the city (see the video guide above).
Here's how this week unfolded.
- Diwalia-Reyasilvia road, lower cliffs
- Diwalia-Cimmeria road, central cave
- Alcove in the Bay of Drowned Wishes
- Planetarium on Kera Ridge
- A tree on the far island of the Ridge
Unfortunately, even after you've put together the navigation charts, there's one last step in the process.
Mara Sov's voice chimes from the compass and echoes in her head. “Caliburn's gatehouse is the barrier between the weapons you seek and everything else. It is a fragment of the Dreaming City, torn from reality and hovering in the weave of ley lines. It is at the crossroads between our and the Higher dimensions. “When you can collect my late brother's navigation charts, the Gatehouse will lead you to Dozmari's vault. We should hurry.

More and more schemes appear in the Dreaming City, and I'm afraid we're not the only ones following this path." Mara Sov warns that the patterns you found are only the first step on a long journey. She will notify you when new schemes appear in the Dreaming City.
Week 2: Collect navigation charts in the Strands, Esila Gardens, and Lost Sectors nearby.
Here are the 5 places you need to visit to collect Nautical Charts:
- Seaside: Towering Statue
- Seaside: Statue at the gazebo
- Esila Gardens: Waterfall
- Esila Gardens: Tree Bridge
- Aphelion's Tomb: Brazier
Week 3: Collect navigation charts in Reyasilvia and Messenger's Corner.
Locations for the 3rd week:
- Reyasilvia: The Lonely Statue
- Reyasilvia: The Lower Level
- Reiasilvia: Temple Viewpoint
- Messenger's Corner: Statue in the side corridor
- Messenger's Corner: Ahamkara Skulls
Week 4: TBA
We don't have any information about this stage yet.
Hollow Coronation and Gates of Caliburn
This is the last stage of the quest. Place the Atlas Warps here in the Gatehouse and claim your prize.
As stated in our guides, The Hollow Coronation is a required quest. However, this one is much easier. You just need to get back to S.L.E.M. and go through the same gate that previously led you to Mara Sov's quarters, but instead you will be taken to the Compass Calibration.
This is where you will place loot and collect useful knowledge from Uldren every week. When you're done here, go back through the portal and collect your reward on the Guiding Compass.
Gather Chanterelle, Razmetist, Chrysidida Melo, and Ager's Scepter.
The Sweeper is a legendary weapon. This is the second reward in the Star Route quest chain.
When you return to the compass, you will be able to receive a reward for your weekly efforts.
The reward for each week is a weapon of a different class.
- Week one: chanterelle - revolver, legendary stasis weapon
- Week two: Razmetist - legendary shotgun
- Week three: Chrysidida Melo - legendary automatic rifle
- Week four: Scepter of Ager - Exotic Beam Rifle
That's all you need to know about Ager's Scepter. Enter the battlefield and break through the Cabal, the Fallen, the Hive, and the Vex using all of your shiny new weapons. This is the best reward for all this running around that you had to do.
