Apex Legends season 12 is finally here, which means that Mad Maggie has joined the ranks of legend and is already causing havoc in Outland.
Equipped with an X-ray passive, Rebellion Drill, and Shar Baba's ultimate, it's safe to say that Maggie is a force to be reckoned with in a skirmish, and players are already devising clever tricks to get the most out of her kit.
One of them involves turning her ultimate ability into a fireball, which is amazingly easy. This maximizes the baba's damage and allows it to deal burn damage to any enemies that get in its path.
Maggie's simple trick inflicts an absolute burn on enemies
As Apex Legends streamer demonstrates Skeptation, you can turn Maggie's ultimate into a fireball if you combine it with the Tactical Rebellion Drill skill.
Although the trick is relatively easy, it is important that you aim the fire drill at the perfect spot or she might miss her ult as the ball moves very fast. To perform the trick, you need to follow these steps:
- Point your Ultimate at the ground and fire at multiple enemies.
- Wait for it to bounce once and then fire your tactical shot into the back of the ball.
- The fire drill should lock into the ball if you aim it correctly.
- This should deal burn damage to any enemies in its path.
While this trick will definitely not kill opponents in one shot, it is perfect if you see a squad running in an open area and want to maximize your damage.
Because Maggie's orb has a rather small hitbox, this also expands the AoE damage that Ultimate deals, meaning you're more likely to hit opponents.
Remember, it's best to jump into the shooting range and try out this mechanic in-game before taking it into your matches, as wasting your Ultimate at a key moment could cost you the win.
