Guide to the Tower of Zot

Zot Boy Tower #1 – Minduruwa

Enix Square

Positioning is incredibly important in Tower of Zot.

When you arrive at the end of Ingress ingenuity, Minduruwa will be waiting for you in his battle arena. The attacks she will use in this fight are as follows:

  • «Manusya Bio". The ability is dangerous for tanks and inflicts a poison debuff that can be removed with Esuna or The Warden's Paean.
  • «Manusya Blizzard II»I.Multiple hits that deal cone AoE damage.
  • «Human Fire III”.Deals AOE damage around the boss, leaving a safe area near him. You need to get closer to the boss.
  • «Human Thunder III". Creates an AOE area in the shape of a cross on the ground.
  • «Manusya Bio III". The boss slams the ground, hitting players in a 180 degree radius;
  • «Drupad". Places an elemental debuff on players that cannot be removed. The debuff is applied to everyone except the tank.
  • «Mindy". This ability causes the boss to transmute his other skills. When the skill is transmuted, the boss will throw an orb at a marked area on the ground. Once the sphere hits the ground, a transmuted skill will trigger from that area. In general, this ability looks like this: the boss uses "Mindy", changing one of his elemental skills, after the sphere falls in a spot highlighted on the ground, and then the ability that was changed is triggered from this spot. After some time, Minduruva will summon two spheres at once, falling to the ground one after the other.

Minduruwa will alternate between normal and single versions of all of these elemental spells, with the latter directed specifically at the party's Tank. She will also use transmuted versions of her spells, which consist of marking a location and firing a ball at it. Once the orb reaches its destination, it will trigger the spell.

  • Drupad (Dhrupad): This attack will target all non-tank players, dealing damage over time, and it will be used after each Transmute spell, after which Minduruwa will also cast various Transmuted spells and spells in quick succession. Pay close attention to which spell is being transmuted in order to reposition yourself accordingly. This process will be repeated until Minduruwa is defeated.

Boss #2 - Sanduruwa

When you reach the end of the Promise of Prosperity, Sanduruva will be waiting for you in his battle arena. The moves she will use in this fight are as follows:

  • Isitva Siddhi: This is a tank attack, so be sure to distance yourself if you are a Tank, or move away from a Tank if you are not.
  • Prapti Siddhi: Sanduruva shoots a line of AoE at each player, one at a time, so be sure to get out of the marker to successfully avoid it.
  • Manusya Berserk: Sanduruva will throw five orbs all over the arena and once she is done casting they will explode in large AoEs. The arena will have an empty space for you to enter and avoid the AoEs, and you must be quick to achieve this. Be aware that if any party member gets hit by this attack, they will take a lot of damage and be saddled with the Berserk debuff, which causes the character to lose control and attack the boss continuously, potentially hitting with the next attack due to the player's inability to move.
  • Prakamya Siddhi: Heavy damaging AoE, get out to avoid it successfully.
  • Stop Manusya: Sanduruva teleports back to the center of the arena to use this move. This attack will freeze all party members, one at a time, only for her to throw Prapti Siddhi right now, after which the players will be unfrozen. To avoid being eliminated in this attack sequence, you should spread out around Sanduruwa to avoid building up damage and the Healer should mitigate and heal after each hit.
  • Manusya Confusion: After using the ability, the boss disappears from the battlefield and appears along with 5 "Manusya Berserk" orbs. Orbs look like copies of the boss. You need to find the real Sanduruva, who is closer to the wall, in a place where she does not reach the AoE from the explosion of spheres. Please note that all copies will apply different emotions, and the real boss is standing still.

All of these mechanics will repeat until Sanduruva is defeated.

Tower of Zoth Boss Battle - Chosen Heralds: Chinduruwa/Sisters of Mages

Enix Square

The Mage Sisters are a real challenge.

When you arrive at the end of the Arise of Wisdom, Chinduruva will be waiting for you in his battle arena. The attacks she will use in this fight are as follows:

  • «Samsara fleet". An attack that deals magical AOE damage to all party members.
  • «Delta attack". During the cast of the ability, the Mage Sisters use a series of empowered attacks with different elemental elements. The attack element is displayed as a tooltip and comes in three types - Ice/Blizzard ("Glacial ice"), Lightning/Thunder ("Thunderous tempest") or Fire/Fire ("Insatiable flame"): Blizzard - all three sisters will start to release cones AOE waves and will create linear AOE areas that move across the battlefield. Players will have to move from one side of the room to the other in order to dodge all AOE attacks;
  • Thunder – round AOE zones will appear around the battlefield, which will turn into small areas located in the shape of a cross. Large linear AOE zones are also formed on the ground, covering the site along its entire length. At first, all members of the group need to evade them, and then they must come together to unite the marks at one point;
  • Fire – Linear AOE zones will appear on the battlefield in random directions while this ability is active. Donut-shaped AOE areas (with a safe space inside) and markers on players are also formed. First you need to dodge the donut AoE, and then spread out so you don't hit your allies.
  • Between each combo attack, each sister will use their unique abilities, such as Dhrupad, Isitva Siddhi и Prapta Siddhi.
  • After the death of Sister Cinduruva, the Delta Attack ability will no longer be used, and the other two sisters will continue to use their basic skills until they die.

Between each Delta attack, the Mage Sisters will use their skills on the players. Be sure to soften, heal, and move quickly to avoid a lot of damage. It is recommended to focus on the three sisters one after the other, as aimlessly attacking them will only prolong the fight. After you defeat each of them, the dungeon will be over!

Recommendations for passing The Tower of Zot in FFXIV

Recommendations for tanks:

  • Lead the group at a pace at which your allies are comfortable coping with the assigned tasks;
  • Minduruva's "Manusya Bio" and Sanduruva's "Isitva Siddhi" abilities deal a lot of damage, so don't forget to use your personal defensive abilities;
  • Zot Roader monsters do a lot of damage, so try to weaken their attacks and kill them in a short time.

Tips for healers:

  • Minduruva's "Manusya Bio" ability places a debuff on the tank and needs to be removed quickly;
  • Even though bosses don't deal that much damage in general, players who take damage from their abilities build up stacks. These stacks make them more vulnerable, causing them to take additional damage. Therefore, always keep an eye on the health level of your allies in order to heal in time;
  • Delta Attack forces players to move quickly across the battlefield and requires active use of AOE healing abilities. At this stage, you will need all the strongest cooldowns to instantly restore health to allies;
  • Most trash mobs do not pose a particular danger to players. However, you should pay special attention to Zot Roader. He deals massive damage to the tank, so actively heal him until Zot Roader dies.

Tips for players with the DPS role:

  • Use AOE abilities more often during combat with trash;
  • Minduruva is constantly jumping, so save your defensive abilities for this moment;
  • On the final boss, focus on dodging while the Delta Attack is active;
  • When fighting the Mage Sisters, choose Cinduruva as a priority target. Try to hit other bosses with AOE attacks.
