How to Skip Time in Cyberpunk 2077 Day-Night Cycle
Learn how to manage the night/day cycle in Cyberpunk 2077.
Mechanics Change of time of day day / night
After playing Deus Ex - a title without a day/night cycle - I started thinking about whether we could ever see the sun in Night City. I don't think I'm alone when I say that the neon urban aesthetic of cyberpunk fiction is best expressed in the dark of the night (or at least a simulated night caused by heavy air pollution). When playing games like Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption and The Witcher 3, I try to manage my time so that most of my activities (quests, hunting, exploration, etc.) can be done during the day, as I find that these games just look so great under the bright sun on a cloudless day; whereas in Cyberpunk 2077 it could be the other way around.
Knight City was named after founder Richard Alex Knight. He founded the city on the ideals of creating a new, safe and clean corporate city using his own advanced technology and only his own resources. The crime syndicates didn't like it so 4 years after the original construction it was killed off and the city quickly turned into the place it is now, however, there is still a day/night cycle and natural light levels in the city, and here's how to manage it.
Cyberpunk 2077: how to skip time and change day to night
This is a simple mechanic that you should be able to perform. To skip time in Cyberpunk 2077, open the game menu. On a PC, this is done by pressing "I" on keyboard; for PS4, press the touchpad, and for Xbox, press the View button. In the game menu, click "Skip Time" in the lower left corner of the screen. Then you can move forward in time as much as you want, by the clock, changing day to night and vice versa.
Time skip in Cyberpunk 2077 may not seem like the most interesting mechanic, but there will be times when you need to know how to change the time. Some quests require you to be in a certain location for a certain amount of time. For example, the quest "Information" invites you to go to Lizzy's bar from 18:00 to 6:00.
If you arrive at this location outside of the time frame, you won't be able to start the quest. Instead of standing and waiting, you can skip time by simply opening the game menu.
It will also save time, instead of running away from the place due to the inevitable distraction that another side quest might cause. So you can just use the Cyberpunk 2077 time skip feature that CD Projekt Red added to the game.
