The latest game from Techland not only improves on the combat of the original game in every aspect, but also adds nuances that provide a unique gameplay experience for every player.
Although the absence of firearms in Dying Light 2, except for finger arrow, may seem like a missed opportunity for players who preferred the ranged combat of the original, there's still plenty of room to rip apart the infected and the undesirable.

How to get a crossbow in Dying Light 2
Unfortunately, getting a crossbow in Dying Light 2 is hardly possible during the first 15-20 hours of the game; however, it depends on how many quarantine zones and GRE (GRE) anomalies you did some research before focusing on the main quests.
After completing the "Water Tower" story quest, you will gain access to the city leveling system in Dying Light 2. Each water tower you unlock can be assigned to the Peacekeepers or the Survivors, two of the game's factions.
Once you complete the story quest "Let's Waltz!" and unlock the second part of the game map, you can also start unlocking and assigning different power stations to either of the two factions.
Assigning objects to peacekeepers rewards you with more combat options, while assigning objects to survivors rewards you with more parkour opportunities.
You can unlock the semi-automatic crossbow after reaching the fourth level of reputation with the Peacekeepers. To do this, you need to transfer seven different buildings to this faction. This is the only way to get this unique ranged weapon in Dying Light 2. This makes getting the crossbow a double-edged sword for players who are morally supportive of the Survivor's beliefs and perspective in the game.
While Techland may add more crossbows to the game in future DLCs or expansions, the only way to get one right now is to prioritize peacekeepers.
