How to Unlock Samira's Emote Rank S in League of Legends
Could Samira be right around the corner? In Update 10.17, League of Legends has a new teaser that gives players the chance to unlock the S Rank Marksman Emote - and potentially get it for free at launch.
Of course around Seraphs a lot of hype, but before we get a League of Legends pop star, there's still Samira.
The Noxian Rifleman "Dressed to Kill" has been teased many times in the past. Riot hinted at her presence on the champion roadmap. Now, perhaps she will finally make her debut in the Rift after update 10.18.
Players have noticed a new S-rank emote. This emote, merged in Patch 10.16, is currently the only mention of Samira in Runeterra. However, her presence on live servers means that 151 champions are just around the corner.
The stylized S adorning the rose may be a nod to Samira's personality. Her nickname "dressed to kill" definitely fits the elegant vibe of the emotion. We also know that she's a Noxian, which makes the red color even more fitting.
Riot is also playing with the new emote in the community. Lead gameplay designer Mark Yetter asked "are S players good enough". If you think so, you're in luck. The emote didn't appear randomly - you need to complete a specific mission to unlock it.
How to get Samira's S grade emote
Unlocking Samira's S rank emote isn't as hard as getting it haiku lilies or Sett's business card. In fact, unlike others, you can probably get it in one game.
All you have to do is kill using your champion's full combo. Think of it as a warm-up when Samira is out of the game, with her pseudo-killer sniper style relying on "dive straight into the fight."
You think you're good enough for S?

Doubt it.
Here are the exact steps you will need to follow:
- Play a matchmaking game in Summoner's Rift
- Kill an enemy champion using all your abilities. If you hit everything, an S should appear above your head.
- Finish the game - win or lose, it doesn't matter.
- Collect an S rank emote on the screen after the game is over.
Will Samira's S emote unlock champion rank at launch?
It's unclear if Samira's S emote will unlock champion rank at launch like Lillia's and Sett's in-game tokens. The conditions for obtaining an S rank emote are much easier compared to the other two sets.
However, if you want to play it safe, you'll still want to try and unlock it. If Riot ends up giving Samira away for free to players who have unlocked the emote, you should be among the lucky ones.
