How to Unlock Every Character in Pokémon UNITE for Free

Pokémon UNITE currently has a roster of 21 playable characters, and new DLC characters coming soon .
Players will have to unlock most characters by purchasing their Unite licenses with one of two in-game currencies: Aeos Coins or Aeos Gems. Aeos Coins can be obtained by participating in Unite Battles, while Aeos Gems must be purchased with real money.
However, players can unlock characters without spending any currency by simply playing the game or completing in-game missions. Here's how to unlock every character for free in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon UNITE.
Free characters in Pokémon UNITE
When starting the game, players will choose between one of five starter Pokémon. They will receive a Unite License for that Pokémon, allowing them to instantly unlock the character for free. Five options for beginners: Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Talonflame and Eldegoss. By choosing one of them, players can only get the other four with Aeos Coins or Gems.
Zeraora is a free unlockable character for anyone who downloads Pokémon UNITE before August 31st. Players can claim Zeraora by going to the Mail section of the main menu and clicking on the character's Unite license in the Launch Bonus message.

Players can access two more Unite licenses simply by participating in battles and completing missions to level up their Trainer. At level 2, players will unlock Slowbro. In addition, they will unlock the Venosaurus at level 5.
Three more Pokémon are available through 14-day welcome gifts that players can receive during the first two weeks of the game. Players will discover Alolan Ninetales on Day 2, Cinderace on Day 8, and Greninja on Day 14.
Finally, the Unite Crustle license appears as an unlockable item in the Trial for newbies . However, the Crustle is the last prize available to players in this playable challenge. As a result, players must complete all missions during all seven days of the challenge before they can access the Crustle.
How to get another playable Pokemon
All other characters in Pokémon UNITE can be obtained for free by polishing the game and earning enough Aeos Coins to purchase their Unite licenses. Of course, it will take a long time to accumulate enough coins to get each character. For this reason, some players may want to speed up the process and purchase characters with Aeos Gems.
