How to unlock BTL-A4 Y-wing in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Those who play Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will notice that a variety of vehicles can be accessed simply by exploring the planets in Episode IV: A New Hope. For example, fans of the classic Y-wing BTL-A4 can own the vehicle by taking part in several puzzles at the location of the Yavin 4 episode. The mission is located on the outskirts of the map, so it is relatively easy to miss.
The Y-wing BTL-A4 can be unlocked by completing the side quest Winging It on Yavin 4. It can be launched by heading to the northeastern part of the planet map (as noted below) and finding a mechanic outside of the Rebel base. . Players will find an NPC near the X-wing fighter and will eventually need to repair the ship in order to complete the mission and earn the Y-wing.
The first step in this mission is to go under the nearest X-wing landing pad and use an astromech droid to remove its side panels. You can do this by simply switching to R2-D2 and destroying the debris on the back of the pad to find the switch that disables the panels.
After that, you can return to the mechanic to destroy the bricks that were behind these panels. However, since they are made of silver, a villain character such as a stormtrooper will need to blow them up with grenades. This will cause bricks to explode, each of which can be built to make parts for a broken X-wing.
Once the X-wing is back in good shape, the mechanic will grant access to the BTL-A4 Y-wing, allowing you to purchase it from the holoprojector ship menu for 100 studs.
