How to Solve the Compass Puzzle, Remove the Tree, and Get to Genshin Impact's New Space

Travelers have two options with this compass:

1. Turn arrow forward
2. Turn arrow back

However, there is a tree that can block the player's progress.

If the player tries to "turn the arrow forward", they will be told:

“The arrow got stuck in the trees. It's as far as it can go…"

If this happens, select the "Turn Arrow Back" option and go through the blue portal ahead. However, before doing so, interact with the lever shown in the picture below. This action will save time in further.

There is a lever on the right side of this iron gate. First open it and then go to the blue portal.

Players will see another path to another blue portal, so use it. There is no secret here, so just go straight ahead.

A small sprout grows next to the first compass, attack it to destroy it. This will change the future room and the tree near the second compass will not grow (a kind of time paradox from the developers and I am delighted with such decisions). After the destruction of the young sprout, do not touch the compass, but simply go through the blue portals again.

Now there is no tree near the next compass. Rotate the arrow forward to the symbol shown in the image above. After that, go through the blue portal and its subsequent portal to proceed to the next step in this Genshin Impact quest.

Look to the right to spot a spider in front of the compass. Defeat him and "turn the arrow back" twice. After that, go through the blue portal and the portal after it to see another cut-scene.
