How to Destroy Fortnite Poppy Nectar Trucks with One Hit
Boiling nectar kegs, trucks, and more in Fortnite are some of the most useful items in the game because they can grant you shields with just a few pickaxe hits. But obviously there is a way to get those shields even faster.
Nectar Trucks are one of the most sought after healing items in Battle Royale. While any of the "recovery" items are popular, the Nectar Truckee is a vehicle that allows you to fully replenish your shields and health, allowing you to quickly get back into the fight.
The only problem with trucks is that they take time to break down. They have 600 health, meaning that even with successive targeted pickaxe strikes, you'll still have to stop what you're doing to focus on the truck before you have full shields.
Although exploits have been used in the past to create shields quickly (all of which have been patched), this new method may prove to be one of the easiest.
Destroying a truck with one hit
This method was demonstrated by Reddit user Jedisiri21, and unlike other build-related methods in the past, this method requires you to simply use a regular pickaxe. It also requires you to aim fairly accurately, but it doesn't feel like much of a challenge.
At the same time, the method itself is quite simple to understand:
- Locate the truck on the map
- Go to the side of the truck and aim at the exhaust pipe, aiming for the back.
- Jump up and turn towards the end of the exhaust pipe (obviously, this can also be done while standing on the truck itself).
- If you hit the right spot it will break in one hit
Of course, after it breaks, players will be rewarded with full shields. If they practice this, it's easy to see this method become popular as it allows people to spend a minimum amount of time getting shields so they can get back into the fight as quickly as possible.
Of course, the bottom line remains that, as far as everyone knows, the Slurp Truck shouldn't behave this way, which means it's most likely a bug. Epic has been pretty good at fixing stuff like this in the past, so they'll likely have some fixes or patches coming up before you know it.
However, it's an interesting strategy and it will be interesting to see how it will be accepted by the Fortnite community in the future.
