The new Fortnite map is full of exciting places to explore, but there are also plenty of environmental features to take advantage of, including tall trees that fall and don't shatter right away.
As well as being a great way to damage your opponents or even ride through the water, you'll also need to destroy their stumps in order to complete two weekly seasonal quests - each earning you a sweet 25 XP.
In this simple guide, we'll explain the best places to find pine trees in and how to destroy them once you get there.
Where are the wooden pines in Fortnite?
Tall Trees are huge trees that can be found in various places around the Fortnite Chapter 3 map, but the best place to visit is the Sawmill, because there are many of them.
We've marked the top two places to look for pines on the map below:
Ultimately while you are in snowy area in the northwest corner of the map, you can find wooden pine trees, but you will definitely find it easier if you visit Logjam Lumberyard.
How to knock down trees
Once you've found a group of pine trees in Fortnite, apply a few hits with a pickaxe. You can also shoot or blow them up, but this will draw attention to you.
Be aware that the pine tree will damage anything it lands on, including you. If the tree is on a hill or slope, it will roll in that direction and blow out any other trees in its path, which is helpful.
You will need to bring down five trees to complete this Fortnite challenge, but you can do it over multiple matches, so if you don't have the ability to do it all in one go, just come back to the same spot later.
How to destroy stumps in Fortnite
Destroying stumps is easy as you just need to destroy the stump that was left after knocking down a wooden pine tree. Give him a few hits with the pickaxe and he will disappear.
To complete this challenge, you will need only destroy three stumps, so it won't take you too long to finish.
