The equipment is expensive; and as a paranormal investigator, you'll need a lot of equipment on every hunt you go on. What equipment will you need to search ghost, depends on its type ; however, you won't know the type until you collect the evidence and figure it out! It's best to bring a wide range of equipment for all bases with you, but how do you make money in Phasmophobia? This guide will tell you how to become rich!
How to Make Money
Money is mainly earned by collecting evidence while hunting, completing items, and through your insurance! When you get to work, money will be scarce and you won't be able to afford the best equipment known to your profession. Although, when you can afford it, always buy the best equipment, as with more reliable equipment you get more accurate readings.
To cash in on Phasmophobia, you'll need a camera that you can use to take pictures of certain things! Each camera holds a film that can take 5 photos, and 3 films can be carried around. While hunting, photographing evidence will earn you money, although it is very difficult to photograph.
Here is a short list of things you can photograph:
- ➤Fingerprints
- ➤Traces
- ➤Interaction (ghost actions like calling the phone or closing the door)
- ➤Oujia boards
- ➤Voodoo dolls (they appear on the farm and are marked as interaction)
- ➤Dead body (player killed by a ghost)
- ➤Ghost (Shadow of a ghost might be enough)
- ➤Bone
- ➤Dirty water
When you take a picture, always look in your journal afterwards, you can see if the photo has been tagged with a category like "Fingerprints" or "Ghost" because that's the only way to count it for making money. If the photo is not tagged, it won't work, so try retaking it.
Your insurance is more about getting money back than earning it, as the amount of insurance depends on the level of difficulty at which you're playing. If you die on Amateur difficulty, you will receive 50% of the cost of all your items. If at the intermediate level you get 25% and at the pro level you don't get anything special.
