How To Complete FIFA 20 Mid Icon Upgrade SBC - Decisions, Costs, End Date
EA Sports has released a new Mid Icon Upgrade SBC in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team (FUT), and we've got the total cost, cheapest solutions, and everything else you need to know to complete it.
Icons are one of the most powerful card types in FIFA 20, but the cost of good cards can make it difficult for the average player to afford their own team.
Luckily, EA has made a conscious effort to increase their availability in FUT, and this new Mid Icon Upgrade SBC, released on March 20th, is the latest phase of that.
This challenge is available in the SBC FUT menu, right before Jari Litmanen and the rest of the third set of swaps .
It was available for 27 days from the start, which means it will expire at Wednesday, April 16 . However, it's important to note that this is repetitive, so you can do it as many times as you can.
Your reward? You'll get a randomly selected version of any of these second tier badges, so there's a chance you might be able to get someone really valuable.
FIFA 20 FUT Mid Icon Updated SBC Requirements
As you might expect, this Mid Icon Upgrade SBC requires several highly ranked teams - two teams with 85 ratings and a team with 88 ratings. Cheapest solutions and total cost
This is not a cheap SBC that can be fulfilled by any fancy, especially if your club has too few expensive cards to plug it in right away.
The FIFA database website "FUTBIN" estimates the current value is 629 for PS000, 4 for Xbox One, and 524 for Origin.
Here's the current cheapest solution for the first part of the 85-rated team, which costs around 93 on PS800, 4 on Xbox One, and 99 on Origin.
Here's the current cheapest solution for the second part of the 85-rated team, which costs around 98 on PS800, 4 on Xbox One, and 106 on Origin.
Last but not least, here's the current cheapest solution for the 88-rated part of the team, which costs around 413 on PS650, 4 on Xbox One, and 365 on Origin.
None of these solutions require any position change cards or additional loyalty, so you will be able to connect their stock versions directly to the SBC.
Keep in mind, of course, that the FUT market is always volatile and card prices fluctuate frequently, so the cost to create these specific groups may change over time.
Should I do this Mid Icon Upgrade SBC?
There is often a balancing act with these Icon SBCs when trying to decide whether to insert coins or not. Dreams of getting Gullit or Ronaldo often lead to Trezeguet or Nakata, so it's not worth going into them while waiting for the top tier card.
We recommend trying the Prime Icon pack first, which you get through Icon Swaps, which costs nine tokens.
However, if your club has a lot of highly valued cards that can't be traded and you never intend to use them, you might as well roll a die, especially if you can cut the cost by half or more.
