Fortnite Death Map Shows Island's Most Dangerous Locations

If you want to stay alive until the very end of a Fortnite battle royale, you might want to avoid these deadly locations on the map.
We've all been there: you spend centuries traveling the Isle, collecting and upgrading the best weapons, making epic kills... and then you die, losing everything in your arsenal and missing out on that Victory Royale.
Of course, this is an embarrassing moment. But avoiding some of the game's relegation hotspots can help get you on your way to success - or at least make you one of the 10 remaining players.
Luckily, one of the Fortnite leaders has put together a map that highlights landmarks that have significantly more gamers killed than others, meaning you'll know what to avoid the next time you're out on the beat.
Where is the most dangerous place in Fortnite?
Fortnite insider Lucas7yoshi collected a huge sample of the 50000 deaths that occurred during season 5 of Fortnite and noted exactly where they happened on the island.
Together, they form a very useful heat map that shows the deadliest places players can visit.
As you can see from the map below, the areas with the highest number of deaths include Lonely Lake, Pleasant Park, Mountain Town, Colossal Colosseum, Trading Post, and Hidden Stronghold, which is likely due to the presence of the Predator there.

But there is a clear winner here: Prickly Towers . There are several reasons that could help explain why this landmark, which is located west of Zero Point, is such a deadly zone for players to visit.
First, it's not far from the center of the map, where most of the action ends up happening. Secondly, the place is covered in sand, which means that players can actually take advantage of the tunnels in the sand feature to attack their opponents undetected.
Finally, there's a new addition in season 5 that's acting as a combination of the previous locations of Spitting Springs and Abandoned Towers, so it makes sense that this is a popular place as people rush to check it out.
Lucas7yoshi also shared an enlarged map of the Spit Towers, showing the exact location where players from his selection died. In the image below, they are marked with red dots.
Interestingly, this map may also have shown the most dangerous building on the island, since much more deaths are concentrated in a tall building south of the location.
Whether you're new to the game and still working on your skills, or you just want to survive as long as possible for the best chance of a Victory Royale, it's probably best to avoid the Spit Towers at all costs.
