Loop hero this is a "bagel", which is based on the use of a variety of cards. They expand the game location and bring many different bonuses for the character. Below we will look at the main cards in the game.

Types of cards and their properties

Earth

  • . Meadow. At the beginning of each day, heals the hero for 2 health points.
  • . Forest. Gives the character 1% attack speed.
  • . Mountain. Increases health by 5 points for each adjacent rock or mountain.
  • . Rock. Increases the character's health by 2 points and adds 2 more points for each nearby rock and mountain.
  • . blood grove. Can only be placed next to the road. Plant roots kill enemies below 15% health.

The buildings

  • . Lighthouse. Increases the movement speed of the hero within the given radius by 40%. Increases the attack speed of all units in the same cell.
  • . Punishment. Cannot be installed next to occupied cells. Gives the character an arbitrary resource or artifact when using any other cards on adjacent squares.
  • . Village. Activates tasks and also increases the character's healing by a certain amount (15 + 5 * current circle).
  • . road lamp. Reduces the number of enemies in adjacent cells. The effect can be combined with other road lights.
  • . Chrono crystals. On all nearby cells, one day counts as two.
  • . blacksmith shop. Removes one or two items from the character and reduces all incoming damage by 20% for 10 subsequent attacks per artifact.

In the indie role-playing game Loop Hero, you cannot control the character, but your goal is to keep him from dying by building the world and giving him terrain bonuses. Bonuses do not always involve something good, such as summoning enemies. At the same time, the right combinations of terrain cards can make your character almost invincible.

How to use cards. Best combos

Terrain cards must be placed on the black squares on either side of the loop the character is walking on. Some cards you have by default, some are dropped by monsters. Of course, it is quite entertaining to study all possible combinations of these cards, which has become one of the features of the game. However, in this guide, we will describe the largest part of the possible combos and their bonuses.

 

Absolutely all cards interact with each other, and each card placed will somehow transform the world and various indicators. 

Treasury + any card. Put the treasury on a free cell (we advise you to do this immediately at the beginning of the game) so that it does not come into contact with other cards. Now put any card on an adjacent cell and get a random resource.

The more different cards around the treasury, the more resources it gives. However, when all the cells adjacent to the treasury are occupied, it will become empty, and a gargoyle will appear every 3 days.

Mountain + rock. Increases health by 10 points. If you place two rocks next to the mountain, your health will increase by another 10. Can be placed around the treasury to get resources.

Mountains + rocks. If you put mountains and rocks in a 3x3 square, this area will turn into a mountain peak. The pick will give a lot of resources and 120 health points, while it will place harpies on the battlefield every 3 days.

Vampire Mansion + Village. A detached vampire mansion releases these monsters onto adjacent cells. In combination with the village, you get an even more dangerous place - a captured village with hordes of vampires. It is difficult to pass through it without losses, since you will have to fight with five mobs at a time.

However, on the fourth pass through such a village, it will become a reinforced village and will be better healed and give out more interesting tasks. One vampire mansion can take three villages in a row.

 

Vampire Mansion + Swamp. The healing effect of lifesteal will deal damage to any attacker, including your character, instead of healing.

Battlefield x2. Such cards can only be placed near the village. Place two battlefields side by side so that they cover the same straight path. Then the path will become bloody: every 4 days, special bloody mobs will appear on the battlefield in this place.

 

Meadow + any card. If you put a meadow next to any other card, except for the meadow itself, then it will become flowering and will restore 3 health points per day.

Blooming Meadow + Chrono Crystall. Chrono Crystal will double the amount of health restored by the blooming meadow. During the day, you will receive 6 HP from one flowering meadow next to the Chrono Crystal.

 

Rock/mountain x10. If you have placed 10 rocks and/or mountains cards throughout the map, a goblin camp will spawn at a random location along the path. Goblins are stronger than other monsters, but their camp is easy to remove with Oblivion.

Goblin camp + swamp. This combination will replace simple goblins with archers, which, as you might guess, are much stronger and more dangerous.

 

Village x2. Two villages anywhere on the map will give a bandit camp in a random location as well. From the bandit camp, a bandit will go out to adjacent cells once every two days. Bandits are just as dangerous opponents as goblins, so it's best to clear their camps with the aforementioned map.

 

Grove + bloody grove. Together they give a hungry grove in which various opponents appear. For example, ferocious meat golems may appear, which drop great bonuses. The Hungry Grove kills anyone below 15% health.

Lightning temple + forest. Place the lightning temple so that there is a forest in the path of the lightning strike, and you will get a burning forest. Such cells will not increase the attack speed, but the damage of the magic attack.

 

River + desert/sands. This combination will give you an oasis that reduces the attack speed of the character, while the attack speed of all opponents will become even lower.
