A message sent out by Huomao TV to the teams on WeChat states that Valve has rescheduled the open qualifiers to February 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the region. The dates for the closed qualifiers have not yet been confirmed. Teams can continue to register their lineups on the Perfect World PVP platform.

Although the qualifiers are played online, qualified Chinese teams may face problems traveling abroad for tournaments. As the virus outbreak shows no signs of slowing down, many countries have started imposing travel restrictions .

With the next Major taking place in Los Angeles, the unprecedented scenario could mean that no Chinese team will be present at the third stage of the DPC. Qualifiers for Chinese teams are likely to still be played, but it's not clear if any of them will be able to travel overseas.
