Around the raid Destiny 2 Acolyte's Oath is a hidden glyph that is used to get an extra chest after the Rulk battle.

The Acolyte's Oath raid has several hidden rooms that contain symbols. Finding the three rooms you need and activating the symbols will spawn an extra chest after the Rulk fight. For those who are able to clear a raid in one go, this is an absolute must as it will reward you with a guaranteed raid weapon with and weapon template progress.

Here is a short list of where the symbols are for those who are already familiar with their location but need information at a glance. You can find a more detailed description of each of them below:

  • Pyramid - After the big fall
  • Give - Before purchasing in the frozen carbonite room
  • Darkness - To the left of the Sphinx in acquisition
  • Traveler - Red cubic room on the balcony
  • Worship - Hallway of the final caretaker's stand
  • Light - Near the red light statue in the jumping puzzle
  • Stop - Under the extra chest in the jump puzzle
  • Guardian - After the encounter with the Artifact, a puzzle jumps in front of the Dominion, up the stairs on the left
  • Kill - At the top of the jumping puzzle before the fight with Rulk

How to complete the Acolyte's Oath in Destiny 2

The stage begins when the Guardians meet Rulk in the "Domains".

You need to move to the very beginning of the room so that you are not pushed out by the energy dome, which will soon appear. One of the players will take the role of the buff keeper, he must destroy the large crystal that Rulk will call above him. This player will get the wither power buff. Now he must stand on the platform at the very beginning of the location and after that two smaller crystals will appear in the distance. They must be shot by the other two players - the buff transmitter and the first runner. They will receive the wither strength buff, at which time the guardian's buff will disappear. The transmitter player immediately takes his place on the platform, and two crystals appear again, which are shot by the guardian player and the second runner.

Thus, the wither strength buff is on two runners and the guardian player. Runners must turn their buffs into "power emanation". To do this, they need to get under an attack that Rulk will sometimes carry out, it looks like yellow rays, with which he begins to hit in the direction where he teleports. Those beams deal damage and knock back anyone who doesn't have "wither power", and for those who do, it replaces the buff with "emanation of power". The task of the guardian is to avoid this attack so as not to change his buff for another.

Runners must bring an "emanation of power" into the six pillars that are located on the location. They are located on the left and right of the location, three on each side. To find out which pillar to buff, you need to wait for the glyphguards to appear, kill them, and then find a common symbol between the two triplets of symbols that will appear on the pillars near the place of their death. As before, glyphs from Possessed Glyphguards can only be seen by buffed players, while glyphs from Despicable Glyphguards can only be seen by unbuffed players. Once a common symbol has been found, unbuffed players should see it on two of the six pillars, and tell the runners where they need to deposit. Players with the Emanate Force buff can move inside the energy dome to do so.

When two "emanations of power" are brought into two pillars, the guardian player stands on the platform to transfer the buff and everything repeats from the very beginning.

If the timer of "withering power" or "emanation of power" reaches the end, the player will die, so you need to do everything quickly enough. However, when changing from "wither force" to "emanation of force", the timer is updated. If you suddenly lost the wither power buff, Rulk will summon a large crystal again and give you another attempt to perform the mechanic, but the third time will already kill you.

So, after six stakes, Rulk teleports up and the team has to go after him. There will be a square arena, at the corners of which there are pillars. The symbols on these pillars never change and are arranged as follows: on the left, the near one is a wanderer, on the far left is a pyramid, on the right, near is light, and on the far right is darkness. Players, as before, will have to bring "emanation of power" into these pillars. Wither Power can be obtained by destroying the glaive that Rulk leaves behind after his attacks. In place of the destroyed glaive, other players will see a pillar symbol, which will need to be buffed by this player. In order to receive the "Emanation of Power", a player with "Wither Power" must also stand under Rulk's attack beam. Be careful, as all of the boss's attacks inflict the Piercing Darkness debuff on players, which will kill the player if they reach 10 charges. You also need to watch out for his melee attack, the clue is the yellow wave that appears in the direction of his lunge.

After introducing the “emanation of power” into the column, a vulnerable point will appear on Rulk, which must be shot off. Such points will appear on his shoulders and legs. When four buffs have been applied, and four points have been shot accordingly, the damage phase will begin. When the boss becomes invulnerable, this means that you need to leave the arena back down, otherwise the energy dome will soon push you out of the location.

You need to repeat all the mechanics until you kill Rulk. You will have three attempts to damage him. When you reach the last health bar, the final phase will begin, during which you must finish off Rulke, otherwise you will be destroyed.

How to get an extra chest

If you already know how to spawn a chest, then you can scroll down to the location of the symbol room below. In order to spawn a bonus chest after the Rulk boss fight, you must first find and memorize the symbols that appear on the support pillar. This support post is located just after the payload collision, right as you enter the pyramid. Go into a large room with grass and a ladder up the back. Go through the middle and a pillar with three symbols will appear. You must find the three rooms where these symbols appear and activate them.

To activate a symbol, shoot it and the symbol will appear. If you accidentally activate the wrong glyph, you can shoot it again to disable it. You can't find all characters, get a message on the screen, and then exit. However, if you join a run that is in progress where they have summoned a chest, you will be able to get it.


Glyph Rooms Acolyte's Oath

In the Acolyte's Oath raid, there are several rooms that contain glyphs. You only need to find rooms for the symbols you saw on your reference pole. Rooms appear before and after meetings, as well as during jumps to sections of the puzzle.

Pyramid

After the payload section, you will enter the pyramid and drop down in a huge fall. When you land, turn around to find a door with a symbol next to it. Shoot the symbol to open the door, inside is the pyramid symbol.

To give

After the room with all the symbols you can interact with (and before the Obelisk encounter) there will be a room with large frames with bodies frozen in them. Opposite the place where you entered, there will be another door with a symbol on top. Inside is a symbol Give.

Darkness

In the Acquisition zone, where the meeting with the Obelisk takes place, there is a Sphinx on the left side. Don't start the meeting. Instead, jump up to the Sphinx and shoot Cross between its legs. This will open the door next to the Sphinx. Inside this room is the symbol of Darkness.

Traveler

Once you've completed the encounter with the Obelisk, continue through the rooms until you enter a room with a reddish tint from two dice on black pillars. There will be a locked door at the other end of the room. Jump over the door to find Crux, shoot him and enter the room to find the Traveler's symbol.

To worship

The Worship Symbol is in the same area as the last stand for the Overseer. When the Overseer is defeated, look to the left side to find Crooks. This will open a door on the right side of the room, allowing you to access Worship.

World

After the Overseer, the fight will be a bouncing puzzle. The Glyph of Light is revealed as soon as you reach the first area where enemies constantly spawn and Crux is used to swap platforms inside and out. There will be a statue with a white light above it, in an orange-red light. To the right of the statue is a door that leads to the symbol of Light.

Stop

The Stop symbol is a little further after the Light symbol. This one is in a corridor that can only be crossed by jumping over several fixed beams that lead to a hidden room with a hidden chest. Next to the chest, there is a hole in the floor that leads to a room full of enemies. Climb down, defeat the enemies, shoot Crooks and go inside the door in the same room to find the symbol.

Oppequin

Right after the encounter with the Artifact, where you collect your loot and see Upending, go up the stairs on the left side. Crux is on the outside of the structure, on a thin ledge wrapped around the outside. Shoot him and then return to the stairs.

Instead of going down the stairs, look behind the pillar to find a door that leads to the Guardian's symbol.

Kill

The Kill symbol is right before the fall in the final boss fight. You will climb into an abyss with floors on either side. At the top, turn around and shoot the Crux that is floating in the back of the room. This will open the door upstairs, on the right, as you face the boss arena. Some Captured Centurions spawn here as well.


After shooting the three correct symbols, all that's left to do is defeat Rulke and claim your rewards. The chest will spawn right next to its glyph, you can't miss it.
