Epic Games and Apple are still at war, when can mobile users expect Fortnite to return to the App Store? The latest U.S. District Court ruling has given us a rough idea of when we can expect him to return.
When Epic decided to bring the V-Bucks direct payment method to mobile devices, Apple was quick to respond. Since then, the two large corporations have grappled in legal battles. Fortnite has been removed from the App Store and it is clear that the number of players is significant shrinking every day.

The initial release dealt with the direct method of buying Epic V-Bucks on mobile devices. This circumvented mandatory rules that placed a significant portion of every purchase in Apple's pockets. Unless Epic decides to drop this and come back, mobile players will have to wait for the game's special IOS trial in May.

This leaves us with a window of seven months from the date of writing. This is the absolute minimum wait if an agreement is reached almost instantly during the course of the trial.
For those with Apple devices, this may seem like doom and gloom. However, the latest rulings have brought good news. This will not affect the Epic Unreal Engine, which means other games can continue on the App Store without issue.
"Epic Games is grateful to Apple that Apple will continue to be prohibited from retaliating against Unreal Engine," the company said. While Epic clearly breathed a sigh of relief, the developers remain determined to put an end to Apple's "anti-competitive behavior."
