When will Black Widow be released? Release Date, Leaks, Cast
New behind-the-scenes footage of Black Widow has been leaked online, giving fans a glimpse of what's to come. Here's everything we know about the film so far.
As part of The Avengers, fans have been looking forward to the Black Widow solo movie since 2012. Fast forward eight years and the wait is still on as the film has been delayed multiple times due to the current crisis.
However, there is much to be excited about as new material is released and details are announced ahead of the film's release.
When is Black Widow coming out?
Originally intended for a May 2020 release, the film has been delayed twice due to the ongoing health crisis. It is expected to be released in theaters 7 May 2021 years , unless further delays reschedule it.
In the interview Scarlett Johansson spoke about the film's delay. “We all strive to release a film, but most importantly, everyone wants this experience to be safe…” she said.
What has leaked into the network?
Since the film has already had two delays, fans have already been given a lot of information.
It's the merchandise for the upcoming film that revealed the most, including additional behind-the-scenes images as shown in Marvel's Black Widow: The Official Movie Special Book.
For now, the book is only available in the US and Canada, so fans have shared some of these images on Twitter.

Who will star in Black Widow?
Johansson will reprise her role as Natasha Maximoff again for what will likely be the last time. She will be joined by Florence Pugh as Elena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and David Harbor as Alexei Shostakov.
Handmade Tales star O. T. Fagbenle will also be in the film, playing Rick Mason. He will play Romanov's former love interest when they both worked together at the Shield.
A cameo from Robert Downey Jr is also expected, but it will likely come from additional footage filmed during Captain America.
What will happen?
If there's one question every Marvel fan asks, it's: "What happened in Budapest?"
Well, it looks like the answer to this question will soon be revealed. Black Widow will be set after the events of the Civil War and is expected to explain exactly what happened in Budapest, among other things.
As shown in the teasers released, these are not only shots of Budapest, but also memories of Romanov's past. This understanding of the character will also introduce her to her "family".
The group is about to reunite to take on the unknown taskmaster as Romanoff decides to face her dark past.
In the interview Empire , director Cate Shortland said Johansson will "pass the baton" to Florence Pugh as her character, Elena, takes on the MCU's Black Widow mantle.
We hope the final date is approaching and fans are once again looking forward to the release of Black Widow in May 2021 years .
