Halo Infinite rekindled fans of the franchise when it launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC. That's how many people are still playing in 2022.
The latest installment in 343 Industries' legendary Halo franchise brings the Master Chief to a new generation, bringing console and PC fans together. There was a lot of hype ahead of Infinite's launch, with players flooding into the servers in droves.
But not everything has been so good since the release of the game. Shortly after launch, Infinite struggled to keep up with players' demands for much-needed fixes and changes, which 343 has been very successful at tackling.
This has led some people to wonder how many players have been on Halo Infinite's servers since its mainstream debut.
How many players are in Halo Infinite?
Halo Infinite's player base has dwindled significantly since its first release. Electricity number of players 6072 as of April 2022, according to SteamCharts.
These numbers reflect the Steam community on PC as Xbox parent company Microsoft does not reveal players from Xbox and Game Pass.
With that in mind, Infinite's all-time peak hit 256 but has since dropped to around 619, according to the latest set of available data.
This is a big step back from when a wave of hype propelled the game to Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms.
His latest franchise entry has a ton of ground from 343 and they are determined to figure out how to get players back in the matchmaking queue.
Halo Infinite Season 2 Lone Wolves could play a big role in this effort, introducing new maps, game modes, and a host of cosmetic items to earn.
It will be interesting to see if Infinite can bring back the fans who have been waiting for improvements to increase player numbers at the end of 2022.
