Collaboration between Overwatch and Genshin Impact coming up?

Have you ever wondered what will happen if Overwatch meets Genshin Impact? Players are convinced that the crossover is coming, thanks to some new work from the developers.
For Genshin Impact players around the world, Teyvat has become a home away from home. The anime-inspired universe continues to grow in popularity, and update 2.4 will become one of the largest and most significant.
Now the cult game MiHoYo is also not averse to moving to crossovers. We've already had collaborations with Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West in which heroine extraordinaire Aloy joined the fray back in update 2.1.
This opens up a whole world of possibilities, and the Overwatch community is convinced a collaboration is coming soon after some intriguing mystery hints.
Overwatch X Genshin Impact crossover?
In celebration of Christmas, Overwatch has released a new series of artwork showcasing a collection of fan-favorite heroes coming together to unwind over the holiday season.
One of the frames shows Tracer, a cool English DPS who receives a gift from a mysterious blonde beauty. While many assumed the character was D.Va, some fans have drawn parallels to Genshin Impact.
The art style is very similar to the game's splash art, featuring anime-style characters with bold black outlines. In addition, this mysterious woman bears a striking resemblance to Barbara. She is also similar to Genie, but to a lesser extent.
"CROSSOVER GENSHIN X OVERWATCH OMG?" asks one excited fan, and they've planted seeds of hope in the Overwatch community.
"Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that they both released Christmas art at literally the same time as each other," writes one suspicious fan.
“I always thought that if Genshin x Overwatch happened, Hanzo and Genji would be good additions,” notes another.
Whether or not there is any truth to these speculations remains to be seen, but as the Genshin Impact roster continues to expand rapidly, we may see some familiar faces making their way to Teyvat's emerald pastures after all.
