Xander has been a leak for some time and Epic Games hasn't given any mention of him. It seemed to be forgotten about, and it's just a skin that will never see the light of the Fortnite battle royale. But it has reappeared and will be available as a free reward for everyone, but how exactly to get the mystic equipment?
How to unlock the Xander skin in Fortnite
Xander will be part of Fortnite's new "Bring a Friend" promotion to bring new or long-lost players back to Battle Royale. All you need to do is invite new and old friends to log into the game for a few hours at the allotted time. The more friends you bring back, the more rewards you will receive.
Follow these steps to claim the Xander skin through the Refer a Friend promotion…
- Go to the Refer a Friend website and log into your Epic Games account that you use to play Fortnite.
- Once logged in, direct any number of people to return to the Battle Royale.
- To qualify as a referee, a player must have less than 120 minutes of Fortnite play time in the last 30 days.
- After registering as judges, you must play matches with them and either score points or complete tasks to receive free cosmetic rewards.
- At the moment, we are not sure what challenge/scoring system Epic Games will be implementing for this refer-a-friend system.
All earned cosmetics are not yet known, but Xander will be 100% unlockable reward.
