Collei is the latest Genshin Impact character that is getting a lot of attention from travelers, especially now that beta 2.5 has started. This green-haired girl appeared in the official Genshin Impact manga, but has yet to appear in the game.

However, 2.5 leaks have unearthed a Colley elemental explosion entry, leading a number of players to speculate that it might be playable in the future.

The Genshin Impact 2.4 update has finally added Enaknomia Island to the game, Shen He и Yun Jin. However, it is the news surrounding Colley that keeps travelers thinking about what lies ahead.

Who is Colley in Genshin Impact?

Collei is one of the main characters in the official Genshin Impact manga. Unlike other characters in the game, Colley was not born with any special abilities. In fact, the green-haired girl was born sickly.

To save her from certain death, Kolley's parents gave her to Varnava, a Fatui scientist. Despite promising that he would save the child, Barnabas turned Colley into a test subject for Fatui's cruel experiments. It was here that Barnabas and Fatui Harbinger Dottore tested their Archon Remnant trials.

After some time, Kolley manages to escape from the clutches of Fatui, and now she wanders aimlessly around Teyvat. Although she wasn't born with her own element, her experiments with the Archon Remnant gave her special abilities that allow her to summon powerful magical attacks.

Will Colley be playable in Genshin Impact?

At the time of writing, Colley is not currently playable in Genshin Impact. This does not mean that miHoYo will not add this character in a future update. After all, many characters have appeared in the Genshin Impact manga, and some of them are likely to become playable in the future.

In fact, Collei was assisted by Shino, a scientist from Sumeru, who showed off a number of upcoming characters. Famous Genshin Impact insider, @dimbreath discovered that miHoYo hinted at Colley in the Genshin Impact 2.5 beta.

According to the player, a record of the elemental explosion can be found in the game. While this doesn't mean that Colley will be a playable character in Genshin Impact, it does give a good nod to the manga.

Chapters 2-3

In search of a cure for the disease and a means of revenge, Collei travels to Mondstadt. Upon arrival, the city gate guards refuse her entry, suspecting that she is a carrier of the disease. Angry and desperate, she summons the Remnant of the Archon within herself and attacks a passing carriage. A black fiery serpent appears, burning the carriage; two Fatui diplomats are killed and some wounded. This provided enough distraction for Colley to slip into town unnoticed.

After the attack, now referred to as the "black fire incident", Outrider Ember and Captain Keia of the Knights of Favonius are sent to investigate the matter. Walking through the square of the statues at night, Amber notices Colley and asks her for coming out so late. Collay gets impatient trying to convince Amber to let her stay, but the girl won't stop. Colley then lies, telling her that she is looking for something. Amber decides to help her and then takes her to the top of Favonia Cathedral. From there, they glide through the city together. They eventually land to meet Acting Grand Master Jinn and Lisa the Librarian.

Chapters 4-8

Lisa invites Amber to share her information about the recent attack and suggests they go to the library where the information was collected. Amber is hesitant since she was unable to obtain any information herself, but Colley, thinking the library might contain what she is looking for, convinces her to go and take it with her.

In the library, three knights are discussing the incident. After reading a piece of burnt paper, Amber abruptly walks outside, leaving Colley with Jeanne and Lisa. Genie takes the document, which is an account of an incident that happened years ago. From the report, Genie and Lisa learn of the Delusion, which was formerly owned by Dilyuk's late father, Crepus. Genie then leaves to follow Ember and arrives in time to help fend off the attacking enemy. Amber reveals her discovery: a metal bird device bearing the sign of Fatui.

Liza leaves to visit Dilyuk, and Colley uses this as a chance to sneak out with a document she thinks contains clues to her search but is unable to read its contents. Suddenly, Keiya appears and interrogates her. Before he can ask any more questions, Amber and Genie show up. Colley hands the document over to Kaya, while Jinn explains that an incident that happened a long time ago could be related to a recent attack, and Diluk is suspected of being involved in it. Keiya tells them about his thoughts on the incident. Wondering what killed Crepus that day, Collei says that the power he possessed turned against him. Kaeya becomes suspicious of her statement and interest in the document. Colley tells them that he is looking for a way to save a friend that the Fatui did something to. Lisa, having just returned from Diluka's estate, tells them that she will ask someone from Sumeru Academy who could decipher the document.

They all gather at the headquarters of the knights. Genie announces that Fatui will be making an official visit to Mondstadt in three days to investigate the black fire incident; She also reveals that a number of devices similar to the one Amber found earlier have been found throughout the city. Suspecting that the perpetrator behind the attack might strike during the Ludi Harpastum, Jinn orders the perpetrator to be captured before Fatui arrives and ensure the safety of the citizens during the festival.

Chapters 9-10

With their new information, Colley and Amber set off around the city to find more Fatui devices. Since it is also the day of the Ludi Harpastum festival, Amber decides to take Collei to visit the festival.

After going around the food stalls and playing games, they attend a magical show. Colley is selected as a volunteer and instructed to climb into a wooden box. Inside the box, the enclosed space causes Colley to panic and recall horrifying details about the past. Back on stage, the performer opens the box to find no one inside, and Amber is told to look for her friend in another box. She finds Colley, who, still in a panic, tries to stab her with a fake knife. Amber turns everything into a joke. This makes Collei realize that Mondstadt is not a dangerous place; this is a place where people are free as the wind. They return to the festival. Colley, this time, is enjoying himself.

Chapters 11-12

Keia suspects Colley of being responsible for the black fire incident. At the festival, he distracts Amber by telling her that more of Fatui's devices have been found and sends her away. This allows him to get closer to Colley, who is busy playing. He leads her to an empty alley and then attacks her to bring out her powers. Kolley attempts to suppress his Archon Remnant, but is unable to tame it. Before Keia could attack her again, Ember arrives and stops him with an explosive puppet. She then takes off with Colley. Barnabas watches from afar.

In truth, Colley thinks that Amber hates her now, but on the contrary, she doesn't see her as evil and emphasizes what she has come to know and admire about Colley. Amber tells her that the document has been deciphered and they head to the library. There they meet Shino, a scientist from Sumeru who has responded to Lisa's request. He discusses his plan to bring the Remnant of the Kolley Archons into a dormant state, to which Kolley agrees. Shino decides to do it the next morning.

Chapters 13-15

The next morning, all three will meet as planned. Shino begins to perform the ritual while Ember stands next to the bow in her hand. After the ritual, Shino leaves to report to the city. The now cleansed Collei gazes out at the sea with reverence. As she and Amber celebrate, Barnabas appears, having sensed the Remnant of the Archons from afar. Barnabas was a fatui scientist who experimented on Colley and is responsible for her curse. Frustrated that her powers were shut down, he attacks them. Amber fights back and with her arrows lays Barnabas on the ground. Barnabas then turns into a beast, much to their horror.

Despite being wounded, Ember continues to fight, but is unable to land a hit on Barnabas. Memories of the past resurface, and Colley is despondent at his own helplessness. Amber tells her not to lose heart. This inspires Colley, and when the shield around her breaks, she charges at Amber, wanting to protect her. She then tells Amber not to worry about her and focus on fighting Barnabas. She delivers a finishing blow to Barnabas, which returns him to his original form.

A disguised Dilyuk, masquerading as the perpetrator of the black fire incident, shows up at the scene to claim responsibility for the defeat of Barnabas. Keiya is in cahoots with him and assists Fatui's guards in apprehending Diluc, thus exonerating Colley of the responsibility for killing two of Fatui's diplomats.

Chapter 16

After recovering, Colley visits Lisa to ask for her help writing a letter, intending to write to Amber. In the letter, Colley first apologizes for leaving without saying goodbye. She talks about her decision to follow Shino to Sumeru, where she plans to learn about many things about the world. She then thanks Amber for the time she spent in Mondstadt.

The next day, Amber visits the Knights' office looking for the Colleys. Lisa tells her that she has already left Mondstadt and gives her the letter. Along with the letter, Colley returns her the clothes that Amber had borrowed.
