Last of Us 2 - Major Leak of Plot Details
Fans of The Last of Us, spoiler alert! - Huge plot details of Naughty Dog's long-awaited sequel to their 2013 hit action-adventure game have been leaked online in one of the biggest events ever.
Seven years ago, The Last of Us hit the scene as one of the biggest hits in the gaming industry. Fans immediately started calling for Naughty Dog to continue Joel and Ellie's terrifying and gripping post-apocalyptic story. This was taken into account and work on the game began. It was about to be released, but...
Bad news sounded earlier this month: The Last of Us release has been delayed "until further notice". The title was stripped of its expected May 29 release date. Now an even stronger blow: it seems that the plot also leaked to the network.
Early Monday morning, a series of videos , most of which have already been filmed by Sony and Naughty Dog , reveal key elements of the sequel. Among the leaks were the game's main menu and in-game cutscenes.
A number of story-laden cutscenes were also among the uploads. Sony acted quickly to remove the leaked video, but it was too late; clips have been revealed. Shortly thereafter, re-uploads began on Twitter, YouTube, etc.
ATTENTION! Spoilers ahead for The Last of Us Part II
If you want to avoid plot spoilers for The Last of Us, read no further! Some of the leaked footage showed horseback riding between Ellie and Dina. Another showed a lengthy conversation between Joel and Ellie.
There were also several lengthy clips, including one containing one of the leak's biggest spoilers - Ellie and Dina's evolving relationship . They both seem to be deep into each other before being interrupted by Jessie.
We will give one last spoiler warning! Looks like The Lust jf Us fans' worst fears have come true. The biggest leak is a clip from Ellie in which Joel is caught and beaten by bandits. This may be his last scene - the scene of his death.
The conventional wisdom is that this leak came from a disgruntled employee or alpha tester. This is confirmed by developer posts and tips that appear at irregular intervals.
There's no way around this: it's a big leak. Maybe she's not as big as rout CS:GO source code Valve , but will certainly be a headache for Sony and Naughty Dog. Let's hope there are no more leaks on the horizon.
