League of Legends - Everything We Know About New Champion Yone
Yasuo's fallen brother Yone has been revealed as the 150th champion to be added to the League of Legends alongside jungler Lilia - here's everything we know about him so far, including his release date, abilities, and more.
Earlier this year Riot promised two new champions at the "big" summer tournament. One of them, "dreamy" jungler Lily Shy Bloom. The second, described by Riot as "a masked stranger who refuses to die" , has been confirmed as Yone .
So far, Riot has not officially spoken about the resurrected brother Yasuo. This does not mean that we have nothing to do. Here's everything we know about the 150 LoL champion, including his abilities, lore, and more.
Yes, masked stranger
Unlike Lilia, who was a relatively enigmatic figure, we already know quite a bit about Yon. The fallen warrior was killed by his brother in one of the League's most iconic fights.
Riot suggested that the "masked stranger" champion would remind players that "some demons must stay in our past." Given that Yasuo killed his older brother, it makes sense that Yone would eventually return for revenge.
Abilities
Information about Yone's abilities is already available and you can see here!
Release date
Riot has already told players that they're looking forward to the next two League champions at the "big" summer tournament, which means Yone should arrive with Lilia sometime during the 10.15 update cycle starting July 22nd.
According to a new PBE update, Lilia will start appearing in the game around the morning of July 22nd. The new bounty, labeled "Haiku Lilly", even points to this date as the start of the champion's teasers.
The date on 'Lillia Haiku' also coincides perfectly with Patch 10.15, which will be available for download on live servers from July 22nd. This means that Yone and Lillia should be ready for their League debuts shortly after the patch goes live.
Skins
There are also several leaks that have revealed what the first Yone release will look like. We can expect to see the fallen warrior among the "Spirit Blossom" skins that will also be released in the next patch.
It is reported that the character's base skin was also merged on Twitter by an authoritative LoL data miner ' JumaraloHexCore '. The image shows Yon as a spirit-like demon with two long blades and dark, burning wings.
