What weapons should players focus their time on in Steelrising?
body of work (Power)
Sometimes the earliest weapon in the game will be the best. In this case, Warhammer aka Body of Work is a great option in Steelrising. Despite being a slow Warhammer, spiked coil weapons have a chance to become a player's best friend.
If the player builds their build around this weapon and upgrades it carefully, it will be a satisfying weapon. Yes, it's slow, but it also deals incredibly high damage and has the ability to stun or knock down even large, terrifying enemies.
It also comes with a special ability Shield, which, as its name suggests, creates a shield to block incoming attacks. This is a wonderful weapon to use.
shield-musket «Charleville 1789» (Alchemy)
The first area of Steelrising turns out to be home to a handy alchemical weapon, the musket. Charleville 1789. It can be found in a chest in the first area after climbing the gardens, and it's worth getting out of the way for it.
The Charleville 1789 Musket Shield is a ranged weapon with frost damage, and it can freeze enemies by damaging them enough times with it and filling up the frost meter. The musket works on both normal enemies and bosses. It's worth noting that enemies that also use Frost attacks will be resilient and probably can't be frozen.
Even without the alchemy build, the musket is worth having for its ability to freeze enemies. The weapon requires alchemy capsules, so keep that in mind.
Falchion and Saber (Agility)
Sometimes Steelrising players will want to hit fast but also hard. The Falchion and Saber found in the first area of the game can do just that. Players can find weapons before reaching the dock that leads to Paris.
It has incredible extra moves that pair well with fast attacks like Dash and Sprint Attack. But what makes it shine is the Blade Tornado, which is a charge attack but when activated, the player spins around with swords hitting like a whirling dervish.
While this will likely deplete your stamina meter, it will hit incredibly often, destroying anything that comes across as a target. This is easily one of the best weapons to pick up.
Claws of Nemesis (Agility)
Players can also find Nemesis Claws early in the game as a dexterity option. This pair of massive claws is located in the first area, in a chest, before the dirt path heads into the forest. Steelrising players will appreciate the quick strikes and reasonable damage from them.
Nemesis Claws also help bridge the gap between you and your enemies with their lunge attacks. They can apply immobilization, which can be done by filling up the meter. Each enemy has a meter that fills up when they are equipped, and when it fills up they become immobilized. It also works on bosses, allowing players to land some serious critical hits on just about anything.
The Claws of Nemesis is also home to the ability counterattack, which cancels an enemy strike to deal a lot of damage. However, this requires precise timing, so be prepared to use it.
fire flail (Strength, Agility, Alchemy)
Players can find the best chain weapon in this heartbreaking game on the second level. After meeting with the Assault Servant in the church graveyard, players will find an open courtyard. Here the Aegis will face off against an enemy pack of Light Jaguars and Assault Minions.
What makes this Steelrising weapon so great is its solid damage and excellent range. He can even extend his reach during certain attacks. In addition, it scales with Strength, Agility and Alchemy. Not every player is going to use only one stat, so this could be the perfect hybrid weapon.
Special attack Flail of fire, Summon Fire, is the real winner. It sets fire to the chain, dealing additional fire damage to anyone it hits. The chain can also set enemies on fire, adding a DOT to your attacks. It takes some practice, but it's great on all bands, making it a great choice.
steelrising launched September 8th, 2022 and has a number of awesome weapons, but these are the best options and are even found relatively early in the game. This is useful so players of various classes can find them early on and start focusing on their upgrades to create devastating tools of war.
