Finally, Minecraft Dungeons is available, which means that it's time to fight your way through the hordes of monsters to the exit. If you want to be the most powerful, you will need a strong set of items. That's where you need us! We'll take a look at the best Minecraft Dungeon builds that you can use in the game. We have several early leveling options as well as late game buffs that will allow you to dominate in no time.
Your build in Minecraft Dungeons will largely determine how you will play the game. You can focus on certain melee, ranged, speed, shower, or artifact builds. These aren't the only options, but they make up the bulk of what you'll be focusing on. In particular, souls are interesting because the mechanics involve killing monsters and collecting souls from them. Once you accumulate them, you can use certain Artifacts that will use them to damage or heal you or your friends. Your character is pretty much a blank slate, so any build is open to you as long as you have the items!
BEST MINECRAFT DUNGEONS BUILD
Builds in Minecraft Dungeons usually include a specific melee weapon, armor, and sometimes a bow. You will also be looking for certain Artifacts that will play a role in developing your skills and abilities as you play. In some cases, your armor and weapons will require certain enchantments. They are likely to be the hardest to find because these items have a set of random enchantment options as well as a random number of enchantment slots used. This will be a big part of what you will be focused on when it comes to perfecting your build!
Keep in mind that these are very early builds, we should have a better idea of what ends up being the strongest as we get further from the release date. We will update this post as new builds become available.
Without further ado, we'll take a look at our list of the best Minecraft dungeon builds below!
EARLY GAME/LEVELING: SOUL REAPER BUILD
This build is more for early game and leveling up. Most of these items aren't that hard to find because they aren't unique, so you should be able to find them if you farm the right levels or if you just get lucky. The main thing you are looking for are items that increase your soul collection. This is what amplifies your artifacts, which are the most important part of the build.
The Soul Reaper build revolves around the idea of harvesting Souls by killing enemies and then damaging them with a lot of AOE damage. One of the keys to this build revolves around the Soul, because it collects 100% more souls than usual. This will double your Soul collection level. Armor is also great for solo players because it expands for extra health. We also use this armor because of the 50% artifact damage buff, which will be huge when using the Harvester!
Soul Knife increases Soul gathering by 2, so this is an important part of the build. It's a little different than most melee weapons because it hits well. It takes some getting used to, but it's not that bad.
In terms of Artifacts, the Harvester is very strong and is key to building because it not only increases Soul collection by 1, but also deals massive damage when used. When you activate this ability, it releases some of your souls in an explosion and deals significant damage to all nearby enemies.
If you run into trouble, you can use the Soul Healer Artifact, which will heal the most injured nearby ally! You don't have to worry, you take into account this equation. You collect tons of Souls, so you can use that to heal yourself of trouble. This gives you an extra healing option and is strong on your own or in groups.
The Torment Quiver isn't that important to this build, but fits in nicely with the theme. This increases your soul gathering and can give you some powerful arrows to shoot. You won't be using it all that often, and it's not required.

EARLY GAME/LEVELING: CROSSBOW MASTER
The crossbow is the key to this build because it fires a ton of arrows for every shot you fire. It won't deplete your arrows too quickly, so don't worry about it. While it might be good on its own, surpassing it means getting Enzement Fuse Shot Enchantment on it. This will add a temporary charge "every few shots" and deal 100% damage to nearby mobs. If you upgrade it once, you will get a bomb every 5th shot.
For your armor, you can just run with the standard Hunter Armor, which increases health, arrows per stack, and ranged damage. If you're lucky, you'll stumble upon Archer's Armor, which gives you the same buffs, but also includes a 15% speed aura. As for enchantments, look for Cool Down to decrease the time on Fireworks Arrow.
You will mainly shoot with a bow, so a melee weapon should be whatever you want to use.
For your Artifacts, the main thing that excites you is the Firework Shooter. When used with a crossbow, each arrow will have a firework, so each of the hits will explode independently and deal massive damage. The Windhorn is mainly used to keep enemies away from you so you can regroup. This is more of a suggestion than a requirement. The same goes for the Death Cap Mushroom, but it's pretty powerful and great when combined with the Cool Down spell!
