More bizarre ways to die in Fortnite - 9650-8149-3607

The "Wacky Ways to Die in Fortnite" series (oh my god it's a series now) is a fun riff on the whole deathrun concept. Instead of trying to survive dangerous puzzles, you must figure out each level's unique puzzle to get yourself dead or alive. This 15-level run is relatively short, but suitably humorous and challenging, throwing parkour, dinosaur hunting and secret cubs at you.

Retrowave Deathrun - 3478-4103-0917

The 80s refuse to die, but if this continues, I don't mind. This death run combines the purplish yellow aesthetic of retweeted art with a sentient death wound full of the usual spiked traps and more. What's more, real microwave music pulsates throughout the level (which is also reflected in the oscillating EQ bands on different walls), which you can turn off if that's not your style.

Default Level 100 Deathrun - 2359-3574-9339

If you'd rather have your runs that at least give you a chance to fight before destroying your soul, this death run proves to be a perfectly balanced progression. You'll start with some very easy jumping puzzles and then move on to sections on spike traps and beyond. 

Fire vs Water Death Run - 2854-7665-1230

I love any deathrun that has two friends running into each other and this dual theme version really works in that regard. One player runs down the blue lane and the other runs down the fiery red side and you both see each other helping to move forward in this competitive spirit. Like any well thought out Deathrun, things start out simple enough that both players can feel like they've made good progress before the difficulty ramps up and you both threaten to kill each other over the slightest glitch.

Deadpool Death Run - 5376-4796-8360

Is the Deadpool-themed Deathrun just named Deadrun? Or Deathpool? Anyway, it's a good deathrun with lots of Deadpool brands to match your new skin. What's more, some of the challenges here require (or at least encourage) you to use your new Deadpool scootin' bypass emote. It's a fun little twist on the usual death runn challenge, but it's terrible if you don't have a coin for the new emote.

Cizzorz Deathrun 4.0 - 2778-3253-4171

The undisputed king of death runs is back with his fourth maniacal creation. It has all the attributes you hope for. Spike traps, ice traps, laser traps, basically a lot of traps for you to get confused. If you manage to survive it all, Cizzorz obviously has a prize pool. No financial reward for losing sanity.

Dread Pirate Deathpack Jonesy - 2167-3396-1292

Deathruns can easily become an old sign in Fortnite, but when a team like HQBuilders throws all their cards, it really shows. You're trying to find Jonesy's secret treasure he hid behind your usual set of death penalty obstacles. What I love about this map is how strongly and consistently it draws on the pirate aesthetic. Boats provide solace in shark-infested waters, building interiors look appropriately gray and wooden, and you'll even fight a ship full of zombies.

Death Run of Yesgran - 5030-1216-1484

The jungle theme in Season 8 is heavily used in this build by Yesgran. You have entered a treacherous jungle temple and your task is to navigate through traps and deadly jumps to find the treasure.

Itscizzors Death Run 3.0 - 6245-9996-8091

The near-impossible challenge map is back in its third variant, as the sadist known as the Cizzors has mastered map-making tools to test your sanity once again.

Challenging parkour challenge with simulated storm to make you move. If you're looking to put pressure on a platformer, Storm Runners is for you. 

Shadow vs. Ghost Deathrace - 2033-1780-7591

Dynamics of a secret agent Shadow vs. Ghost in Fortnite Season 2 is perfect for matches, and this deadly rank will pit two players against each other. One Shadow player tries to survive each death trap that should be triggered by the ghost player on the opposite side of the map. It's a little hard to get comfortable at first, but it's good if you prefer to suffer together.
