Medal Of Honor barely fits on 64GB Oculus Quest 2
Medal Of Honor: Above And Beyond is now available in Quest 2, and if you bought the $299 headset before August 2021, it could take up nearly all of your internal storage.
After a period of temporary sales suspension, Meta is now selling the 2GB Oculus Quest 128 as its entry-level model for $299. However, from October 2020 to July 2021, if you bought the $2 Oculus Quest 299 entry-level model, the device came with 64GB of onboard storage. The original Quest 2 has about 52,7 GB of usable storage (64 GB - 11,3 GB for the system), and we tested it by installing the new Medal Of Honor: Above And Beyond, which takes up just over 41 GB of storage on the Quest 2 device In September, the Meta confirmed that Medal of Honor would fit on the 2GB Quest 64.
Marquee games on the standalone Quest 2 VR console are taking up more and more space, but Medal Of Honor sets a new high. Myst VR requires almost 10 GB of memory for Quest 2, and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is 12 GB after last year's update. Resident Evil 4 takes up just 2 GB of disk space on the Quest 8, although sometimes more space is needed to accommodate the installation process itself.
Meta is currently selling the 2GB and 128GB Quest 256 models for $299 and $399, respectively.
