Medieval Dynasty Walkthrough, Guide, Guide

passing

In our Medieval Dynasty guide, we will help you get started, establish yourself and survive in this exciting medieval game.

passing

For Medieval Dynasty players, this guide contains things I wish I knew when I first started Medieval Dynasty and I'm sharing them with you now.

First days

In the beginning, you won't have a lot of income and everything seems more expensive than it should (note: this has been written since the early access launch). Immediately follow the first quest to get things moving, claim your land, and start building a house that will provide you with storage. Once you add a few tools and a few magazines, you won't be able to carry a lot of things without saving other things first.

Quests

There are several quests in the city you spawn near. Namely, a man named Alwyn - following his chain will eventually lead you to your first bow, and following his directions further is perhaps the easiest way to get your first longbow, which works much better.

Dynasty points will be very important later in the game, so doing any "!" the quest you are facing is recommended.

seasonal food
Spring

Collect morels for instant food, or sell them in packs for a quick buck.

Unripe berries can serve as cash flow as wekk, but don't eat them as they are poisonous. If you don't need money, leave it until the summer.

Summer

Gather berries to quickly quench your hunger and thirst on the go. They don't give much, but one minute spent gathering everything nearby can fill you up well.

Autumn

Lots of mushrooms in autumn. Pay close attention to the details when viewing them in your inventory, as it will tell you if they are poisonous or not. Hopefully by fall you'll be hunting and cooking meat so you can treat all the mushrooms like cash flow.

Winter

In winter there is really nothing to collect. The only source of food during this time will be hunting if you don't want to pay for food in various taverns.

guide

Hunting

About halfway through the tree there is a hunting skill that highlights animals green (passive) or red (aggressive) within a certain radius of you (it's similar to a survival skill that highlights feedable plants on the ground in yellow).

It is worth investing in both of these skills.

Apart from rabbits, which can be killed with a single arrow shot, other animals can usually survive multiple attacks. If you can throw a spear (this can also work with arrows, the spear is just visually larger), it will be easier to track them when they run away, since you can hold [Alt] and see the spear. Just make sure you're throwing a spear that's at least 66% durable so it doesn't break on contact.

Carry a knife with you so that you can later skin the animal and get the meat. if you don't have a knife in your inventory, you won't be able to collect the carcass.

Rabbits

Rabbits are easiest to hunt with a bow. Since they are low to the ground, they are hard to spot in spring and summer when the vegetation is lush. Until you get a bow, you can practice a lot in javelin throwing. Use Ctrl (default) to sneak up, but be aware that you still need to stop some distance away or else you'll be spotted and the rabbit will run away.

A fox

They look like rabbits but are easier to spot due to their color and the squeaky sounds they make. They can be very erratic in their movements, sometimes making it difficult to throw a spear as they dart back and forth.

Deer

A headshot with a spear from cover is the easiest way to kill a deer, as it will run erratically if you stab anywhere else on the body.

Boar, bison and bear

Aggressive class. At the beginning of the game, focus on headshots with spears. Carry lots of copies.

Where to Find Animals in Medieval Dynasty

The map below shows the spawn locations of animals, which are divided into species by color:

  • Orange - foxes
  • Pink - wolves
  • Blue - bison
  • Green – wild boars
  • Red - the Bears

Resources

Resources  very important, from logs to clay. Building next to a forest, mountains, a mine or a clay quarry is a good idea and you should look around before deciding where you want to build your village.

I had an incredibly hard time finding the straw to be harvested from the reeds, for some reason, if you also have this problem, just exit through the west gate of the Hostovia towards the reeds. The reeds that can be harvested are small reed plants between large ones.

straw

Trouble finding stones? go don't
taking your eyes off the ground, at some point you will find that the stones lie right under your feet!

stones

It can be a bit difficult to get used to the time at first, try to do the most important things right after waking up so you have more time during the day

If you need to change seasons faster because you're low on wood or can't get enough food during the winter, your resources won't decrease while you sleep, so you can save yourself a few hours of precious wood and food!

Your Basics in Medieval Dynasty

Recovery

You are healed when you sleep at night.

You can also treat with plantain, a plant with green leaves and brown flowers that grows close to the ground. It may be difficult to see. Keep a supply on hand and the rest you come across can be used to get cash early in the game.

Do not eat raw meat and poisonous mushrooms. They will give you food poisoning. If you have contracted food poisoning, you can consume St. John's wart to treat it. St. John's wart are small yellow flowers that can be found everywhere. Keep a supply on hand and the rest you come across can be used to get cash early in the game.

Cooking

After you have hunted and obtained raw meat, you need to cook it. You can cook meat on a campfire, in a house, or on an ever-burning fire in a tavern if you advance far enough to build it.

To light a fire or cook food, first create a torch. You can only light a fire if you have a torch in your inventory.

Skill and Technology Trees

Both Skills and Technologies evolve by doing things related to them. Highlighting the various sections of trees on the right will show you what you need to do to move forward.

The easiest way to improve farming efficiency early on is to craft a hoe, mow farmland, and cultivate it. Over and over until you unlock the barn building. After that, the hoe goes a little slower.

At the time of this writing (early access launch), farming is not yet balanced. A lot of farming requires manure, which is not easy to get at the start of the game and requires leveling up the tech tree. I believe this issue will be addressed as the development of the game continues.

Marriage and villagers

Inhabitants
Marriage

The protagonist is male, and one of the game mechanics is to marry and create an heir who can continue to run the village when the protagonist gets too old. Wooing a future woman can take a long time, and your choice of dialogue will determine their level of affection for you. You want this level of affection to be as close to 100 as possible before asking for their hand in marriage. Some dialogue options increase the affection level, others decrease it.

If you choose the dialogue option that increases affection, you can continue the conversation two more times, after which you have to wait until the next day to continue.

If you choose the dialogue option that reduces affection, no further courtship dialogue is possible until the next day.

Since this can take a whole year (or more, depending on whether you made a mistake during the dialogue), it is worth starting the process in advance and devoting a little each day to the courtship dialogue.

By getting married, your wife can provide healing as well as help you reset your skill points.

Villagers

When your village has enough Dynasty points and buildings, you will want to invite villagers to move there. Residents require a house, a constant supply of wood through the resource storage building, and food through the food storage building.

Similar to the courtship dialogue, villagers looking for a new home will require that their opinion of you be at least 70% approved (the default when meeting them is usually 50%). You'll want to start a conversation with him early on, even before you're ready to invite them, like in the courtship dialogue, you can have a maximum of 3 successful dialogue attempts with the person before having to wait until the next day.

Once you reach or exceed 70% of their opinion of you, you can invite them to your village. If you have enough Dynasty points, they will agree. Then on the Manage tab, you can assign them a House and Profession.

The chest in any building you assign them to should have the necessary tools to do their job. For example, a lumberjack needs axes. The farmer needs a hoe, a scythe, and a bag of seeds (they seem to magically manifest their seeds at this time). The hunter needs a bow, arrows and a knife.

Useful Tips

Pressing H hides the user interface and you can take beautiful screenshots. : )

If you hit that stupid stump and work on it enough, it will disappear because you hurt its feelings. Now the deforested area around you finally looks as empty as it seems.😉

If you need money, make some tools like spears and stone knives and sell them.
