Mercedes-Benz to Partner with Riot Games for the 2020 World Cup and Future Events

Riot Games announced the largest partnership this year at today's private media broadcast. Automobile company Mercedes-Benz will take part in the World Championship this year, as well as in future events such as the All-Stars and Mid-Season Invitational.

Mercedes-Benz is a partner League of Legends Pro League since 2018. The company decided to reach a wider audience by teaming up with Riot to host an annual series of international championships. In addition to being the main sponsor of the World Championship, Mercedes-Benz will also sponsor next year's MSI show between the Summer and Spring Split. An All-Stars event is also on the list to take place at the end of the year.
Riot will represent Mercedes-Benz in the same style as other sponsors. Spectators will see in-game banners and ads on the rift during games starting September 25th. The partnership will also offer an exclusive in-game Hextech Chest during this year's World Championships. “Over the past few years we have been working with League of Legends regionally,” said Bettina Fetzer, VP Marketing for Mercedes-Benz, “but we really felt it was time to take things to the next level. and engage with an even wider audience and support the community that we have come to call family.”
Mercedes-Benz will not only join the long list of sponsors League of Legends , but will also be the most notable partner to present the trophy for the first time at the World Cup awards ceremony. In addition, they will become the official vehicle for major League of Legends events.
