Minecraft Dungeons Awakens The Jungle With Its First DLC Next Week
Grab your mosquito spray and put on your toughest boots, traveler. Minecraft Dungeons is getting ready to take us into the thickets with their first DLC pack, Jungle Awakens. Arriving next Wednesday, this expansion will bring some lush new levels, weapons, abilities, and story missions to Blockbreaker, as well as new dungeons, gear and balance changes in a free update on the same day.
This week Mojang published this news in Minecraft blog post . This doesn't reveal what we already knew - that Jungle Awakening will send you into the rainforest to fight new overgrown mobs like Lipleaf, Jungle Zombies, and Poison Feather using new weapons and armor. in three new story missions. However, it includes pixel pandas and they very cute.
The post will at least tell you more about the free update coming with Jungle Awakens next week. There will be a new dungeon, Lost Temple, available whether or not you paid for the jungle tour. A few new items are added to the mix and things get a bit of a balance shake. While this week's post is too talkative to get into the minutiae, I think we'll get proper update notes closer to release.
Unfortunately, the post doesn't tell us about incoming cross-play support for Minecraft Dungeons.
For now, we'll just have to settle for the sweltering heat when Jungle Awakens launches as part of the game's Hero Pass in Windows Store and Minecraft's official website next Wednesday, July 1st.
