The guide on how to create a beehive in Minecraft will take you step by step to create a bee house for storing crops (honeycomb)! Bees and beehives are a new addition to the game in Java Minecraft Snapshot 19W34A and will be one of the items added in patch 1.15 going forward.
HOW TO MAKE A HIVE
Building a hive isn't too difficult, but there are a few steps to go through to find the required materials. Make sure you have scissors so you don't break the hive while collecting the comb you need.
Step 1: Find bees and nests
First, we need to find some bees! They are located in areas with a lot of flower activity, so look for forests with trees and flowers surrounding them. Seeing a bouquet of flowers on the ground is a good sign that there will be bees in the area. Once you see the bees, look under the trees for nests.
Step 2: Raise the bees!
You will need to make sure that the bees fill their nest with honey so that you can harvest from it. Harvest flowers from around the area and then give them to the bees. This will encourage them to reproduce, which will create more bees. More bees mean they will hit more flowers and fill that nest with honey.
Step 3: Gather honeycombs
Once you see that the nest is dripping with honey, you can collect it with scissors. This will piss off some bees, so make sure the flower is ready or you'll have to run! Destroying the nest won't produce any combs, so you'll have to use scissors.
Step 4: Make a bee hive
Each of the nests should give you three Honeycombs, which is exactly the amount you need to create a hive! You will also need six planks from whatever wood you have.
BEE Apiary
Now that you have your bee hive, you'll probably want to bring beer with you to where you plan to collect your honey. You can do this by holding a flower and luring them into the area you want. Place the bee hive on the ground and the bees will enter it as soon as they have nectar. Plant lots of flowers around this area to promote their ability to create honey.
THE BEES ARE ATTACKING! Help!
If you are attacked by bees, then just take the flower and hold it in your hand. This will calm the bees a little and they will land next to you instead of constantly trying to sting you. If you wait a bit, the bees will calm down and return to their normal pollination patterns.
