Minecraft: Animal Breeding Guide - How to Train All Animals! (2020)
Find out, how to breed all animals in minecraft, using this quick and easy guide! Here we will show you how to interact with the animals, what items you need to breed them, and other useful information.
BASICS OF BREEDING
In order to breed animals in Minecraft, you need to feed each animal a specific type of food. After feeding, hearts will appear indicating that the animal is ready to breed. If another animal of the same type is fed the same food and they are within eight blocks of each other, they will breed and produce offspring.
These two breeding animals cannot breed again within five minutes, and in most cases it will take twenty minutes for a young animal to mature. Breeding animals generates a small amount of experience.
LIST OF ANIMALS
Bees
bees love flowers and will follow the player holding one of the flowers. Any type of flower will work. All you have to do is feed each bee a flower and they will multiply to create a bee!
Cats
Before you can breed cats, you need to tame them. You can tame cats by feeding them raw cod or raw salmon, until the hearts appear and the collar appears. Cats usually run away from players, so you may need to crouch and sneak up on them to get close enough to tame them. After taming, simply feed the animal two fish. The kitten will be automatically tamed.
Chickens
Chickens can be bred with beet seed , melons , gourd or wheat . They will follow the player carrying any seeds.
Cows
Just like chickens, cows will follow players holding wheat, and will breed when they are fed.
Donkeys
Donkeys must be tamed before they can be bred. You can tame a donkey by clicking on them. This will put the player on top of the donkey, which will keep trying to drop the player until they are tamed.
After taming donkeys, you can feed golden apple or golden carrot for reproduction. These items can be crafted using the crafting table as shown below.
Foxes
Fox breeding can be tricky and quite nasty. You will only find foxes in biome taiga . Just like cats, foxes will run away from players who get close. In order to get close enough, you need to sneak up. The easiest way is to barricade the foxes by surrounding them in a two-block high ground where they can't escape. Once two adult foxes are tamed, feed them sweet berries , which can also be found in the Taiga biome.
Horses
Like donkeys, horses must be tamed before they can be bred. Click on the horse you want to tame again and again until it stops pushing you away. Once tamed, horses can be bred by feeding two of them - either golden apple, or golden carrots.
Lamas
Lamas also need to be tamed in order to breed. Click on the llama until he stops scaring you and shows hearts. After taming, feed two adult llamas with a bale hay, and they will multiply. You can find hay bales stacked in villages or craft them using a crafting table as shown below.
Llamas spawn naturally in Savannah и mountain biomes . However, the Wandering Llama Trader cannot be bred.
Mooshrooms
Mooshrooms are cow-like animals that can only be found in mushroom field biome . Like cows, these animals can be bred with wheat .
ocelots
Like cats, ocelots are felines that live in jungle biomes . They will run away from the players, so you will have to sneak around. feed them raw cod or salmon to win their trust. Once tamed, feed them fish again to breed them.
Panda Cory
Pandas can be found in jungle biomes and they love bamboo ! They will follow the players holding the bamboo. To breed them, eight blocks of bamboo must be within a five block radius. Otherwise, pandas will not breed, but will simply eat bamboo.
Pigs
To breed pigs, just feed them carrots , potatoes or beets . They will follow players holding these items.
Rabbits
Rabbits usually run from the players. However, if you are holding carrots , golden carrot or dandelion , a rabbit will do. These items can be used to breed two adult rabbits.
Sheep
Sheep will follow players who are holding wheat, and they can be bred by feeding this food.
Turtles
Breeding turtles requires a bit of work. Turtles spawn on beaches, and they can usually be found floating in the water. They will follow players holding sea grass, and two turtles can be bred by feeding them this item. Sea grass can be picked up with scissors. Once the turtles have spawned, you can go ashore and dig for a long time before dropping the turtle eggs. These eggs will eventually spawn turtles, or players can raise these eggs using silk pick .
Wolves
Wolves must be tamed using bones, before they can be bred. After taming, feeding two adult wolves any raw meat will allow them to reproduce. The puppy will also be tamed by the owner of the parent wolves.
