Sonic 30th Anniversary DLC Available on Minecraft Marketplace
Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends are now available to play in Minecraft. Sega developer and Minecraft Mojang promises "epic levels", races with friends and hidden secrets in the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog's most blocky adventure yet.
The whole gang is here: Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Miles "Tails" Prower, Shadow the Hedgehog, Super Sonic, Doctor Robotnik and, well, a bit of Chaos. Big the Cat doesn't seem to be confirmed... yet.
Players Minecraft will be able to visit popular Sonic locations such as the Green Hills Zone and the Chemical Plant Zone, as well as battle bosses (of course, Robotnik) in the new Minecraft Marketplace content. Players can also receive a free item for create character Sonic the Hedgehog . The upcoming two-week event will feature Sonic the Hedgehog-themed mini-games and "extra surprises".
Sonic the Hedgehog turns 30 this week and Sega is celebrating the anniversary with a host of new game titles, including through Sonic Colors remaster, a retro collection that includes Sonic 3 and Knuckles , and a new 3D Sonic game that's coming next year.
