Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord - Best Ways to Get Resources
Mount And Blade 2 Bannerlord does let you turn settlements into money-making machines, but in order to get the most gold flowing through your city, you need to make sure you have the right infrastructure.
Workshops are key to this, and there are some that are better suited to your city than others.
What are workshops in Bannerlord?
Each city can produce certain resources better than others, depending on the villages that are associated with that settlement. To take advantage of these resources, you can build workshops to turn them into more valuable goods. V
To create a new workshop, wander around the city until you find the owner of the shop. You can buy a store from them and assign one of several types. Once you've developed a few workshops, go to the trade menu in the settlement to see what's being produced. Here is a list of what each ingredient can be turned into:
- Corn: Brewery ⇒ Beer
- Grape: Wine press ⇒ Wine
- Olives: Olive press ⇒ Oil
- Cotton: Velvet weaving ⇒ Velvet clothes
- Linen: linen weaving ⇒ Clothing
- Wool: wool weaving ⇒ Clothes
- Clay: Ceramics ⇒ Ceramics
- Raw materials: tannery ⇒ Light Armor / Leather
- Wood hardwood: Wood Workshop ⇒ Bows / Arrows / Shields
- Iron ore: forge ⇒ Weapons / Armor / Tools
- Silver: Blacksmith ⇒ Jewelry
On Reddit Droblue has compiled a list of the best workshops for your cities. The idea is that there are certain villages that increase resource production in that city faster than other resources. Therefore, if your villages specialize in grain production, you should prioritize setting up a brewery in that city to maximize grain production. Everything you produce can be traded between cities with caravans.
I created a similar version of the "Droblue" table with some changes and fixes based on my own findings. Here inYou will find the resource that the city produces the most, the workshop you need to build to use it, and how many villages supply that resource with the city.
