Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord - Crossbow Skill. How to Upgrade Fast?
In single mode Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord so far only one crossbow is available (crossbow). There are several other crossbows in the game, but you can only use them in multiplayer mode. To be able to use a crossbow in solo mode, you must reach level 20 in the crossbow skill. Let's figure out where to quickly upgrade a skill to level 20.
If you haven't created your character specifically to use a crossbow, then you don't have the required skill level to allow you to use a crossbow. Forget about tournaments and training, there is a way to farm this level and you don't even need a crossbow in your hands to do it. It's pretty easy and you can do it quite early in the game.
Step 1
Gather yourself a suitable army, in which there must be crossbowmen. Mercenary guards have crossbows, they are quite cheap and can be easily found already trained in taverns.
Step 2
Equip yourself with a bow and arrows. Their characteristics don't really matter.
Step 3
Make sure your crossbowmen are at the top of your army list. Don't put more than 5 or 6. After that put a melee fighter.
Step 4
Find a good bandit hideout on the map. Don't go too hard, but don't go with too few enemies. Focus on 10 - 15 enemies. It is better not to choose bandit camps located in the forest. They, as a rule, consist of shooters with whom you will have to suffer. It's best to look on the west coast, it's mostly filled with the right hideouts, and they're not in the woods. Here is an example.
Step 5
First make sure there are no bandits within range of your archers, then press F4 to order your archers to attack at will. This will make them raise their crossbows.
Step 6
We take out our bow and find one of our crossbowmen. We shoot at him until he dies.
Step 7
Now press and hold the ALT key. This will highlight items that you can pick up from the ground. Grab his crossbow and arrows. Even if you don't have the required level, you can still use weapons taken from the battlefield.
Step 8
Now press F4 again to have your archers keep firing. However, they should not kill your targets. Use the terrain to block their targets. You need to choose a distance so that they can help you in a pinch, but do not pull the enemies on themselves.
When the boss appears, just attack him.
