Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord - All Working Cheat Codes

Codes

Our guide to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will tell you how to turn on the cheat mode in the game, and also give you all the codes we know so far, including infinite items and knocking out every enemy in battle. All cheats described below are only for single player .

When faced with a game like Mount And Blade 2 Bannerlord, there is always the temptation to cheat the game through the cheat mode. The cheats here don't let you do whatever you want, but you can make the gameplay much easier.

Cheats Mount And Blade 2: Bannerlord

Our guide to Mount And Blade 2 Banner Lord will tell you how to turn on the cheat mode in the game, and also give you all the codes we know so far, including infinite items and knocking out every enemy in battle. All cheats described below are only for single player .

How to enable cheats in Bannerlord

To enable cheat mode, you need to edit one file on your computer, and luckily it's really easy to find and even easier to change. In this way, to enable cheat mode you need to do the following:

  • Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Documents folder under the My Computer tab.
  • Open the "Mount and Blade II Bannerlord" folder.
  • Copy "engine_config.txt" and paste it into a folder outside the "Mount and Blade II Bannerlord" folder in Documents.
  • Open "engine_config.txt".
  • Change the 14th entry labeled "cheat_mode" from "0" to "1".
  • Save the file and open the game.

It is worth noting that enabling cheat mode will probably disable steam achievements, when the achievements will appear in the game.

Bannerlord cheats and console commands

There are several confirmed console commands that you can use after activating the cheat mode. Some cheats are activated in combat, while others are on the world map. Below are all the verified cheats tested by me.

While in battle

  • Heal your HP to full: Ctrl + H
  • Heal your horse to full HP: Ctrl+Shift+H
  • Knocks out an enemy: Ctrl + F4 (it's not clear why this also increases Athletics or Riding by one skill point and what determines which one is chosen)
  • Leaves all enemies unconscious: Ctrl+Alt+F4

On the world map

  • Move to click position immediately: Ctrl + left mouse button without moving.
  • View all units on the world map: Ctrl + Alt + T while moving. (cheers for "FrostySniper" for confirmation)

Some console commands aren't very useful to you if you're playing to win, but it's worth knowing what they do if you want to play, test, or debug a game. These console commands all happen in combat. Here are the commands that harm the progress of your army.

  • Knock out one of your own troops: Ctrl + F2
  • Knock out the player character: Ctrl + F3  (note that your army will still fight if you are down, so just wait for them to win to get out of it)
  • Knock out a horse: Ctrl+Shift+F3
  • Freeze All: Ctrl + F5

If you want to use console commands instead, you need to download developer console mod  (thanks Goldstein). These are different from the cheats above as console commands give you much more control over the game.

Once you've downloaded the mod and followed the instructions on the page to install it, open Mount And Blade II Bannerlord. On the splash screen before loading the game, you will see a tab that says mod. Make sure the developer console mod is there and check it out to start using it. You need to press Ctrl + Tilde (~) in game to open the console. Type "help" to call all teams .

Infinite inventory cheat

One interesting side effect I found when activating the cheat mode is that when you view your inventory while not in a settlement, it will display every single item in the game. You can take up to ten copies of an item at a time. You can use this to equip your character with the best horse and all the best equipment for your character.

You can then exit it and reopen the inventory menu to replenish your supply, giving you endless items to take from your stockpile. These items can be sold in towns and villages, but keep in mind that traders cannot afford the full cost certain items you are selling.
