One of the coolest cosmetic items in New World is highly sought after by players, but it seems to be the only way to get this historical piece of armor.
New World was one of the freshest highlights in a fairly dry year for gaming, as Amazon Studios' first major project in the industry was a big hit with fans of the MMORPG genre.
Players will be able to choose from three factions in the game and can use their character in different playstyles such as Mage, Healer or Tank. There are also some fantastic armors in the game that will improve your character's stats - and, of course, give you some serious style points.
One of these parts is the Plague Doctor Mask, and we'll talk about how to get it.
What is a plague doctor mask?
This special piece of armor is categorized as Head Protection in the New World and was first introduced during one of the early alphas.
The mask will range from 200 to 300 gear points and will also give players a 6-9 increase in intelligence and 4-6 in constitution. So it's not a bad gear if you want to improve your abilities with Ice Gauntlet or Fire Staff.
How to get the plague doctor mask in the New World
To the best of our knowledge, Amazon has currently implemented only one method to allow players to obtain the Plague Doctor Mask. Back in 2019, they showed the set to players, and we can assume that it was part of a set in the store that players could buy.
This item is not currently on the in-game auction, so it looks like players won't be able to get the iconic mask just yet. I hope they re-add it to some set in the store, as it will be a great armor for your character!
