Can You Save Fallen Order On Your Own?
Game Guide Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
This page of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game guide answers two very important questions - Is it possible to manually save game state and under what circumstances does the game create new saves. Reading the information provided in this chapter will allow you to avoid losing some of your game progress.
The game, unfortunately, does not allow you to create saves manually. If you pause the game, you won't find any options to create a new save.
And this is not the only problem. Most of the time the game only saves your progress based on Meditation Points. Such a point is shown in the attached screenshot - they are regularly encountered during the exploration of planets and are also marked on your holomap. You don't have to search only for new meditation points. If necessary, you can return to the previously discovered.
After interacting with each of the meditation points, you can allocate available development points, as well as rest to replenish health and strength bars. The benefit of visiting the Meditation Point is the ability to save the game, though the rest has to do with respawning previously defeated enemies.
If you die, you will return to the last meditation point. If you turn off the game prematurely, you may lose the progress made since interacting with the last meditation point. Try to get to the meditation place before the end of the game session.
There are exceptions to the above rule regarding when progress is saved. The game can make a new automatic save if important story events have occurred or, for example, after you have flown to another planet.
