Peppermint Kylo - Why Is There So Much Hype Around Kirk?

The Fortnite community has been overwhelmed with hype over Minty's brand new pickaxe, after Epic Games' latest release immediately became one of the rarest collectibles due to its absence from the Battle Royale in-game store.
The limited version of the accessory was first added to Fortnite in the v11. 10 on October 29th, along with a number of Fortnite: Nightmare releases like The Storm King LTM and creative mode island piles, as well as new skins, hang gliders, back attachments and more.
However, nothing captured the collective mind of the community like Mint Kyloespecially given that the only way to collect one of the holiday items is to purchase a Fortnite product at select GameStop stores across the United States.
America isn't the only place to find holiday candy weapons, although Epic confirms that some retailers across Europe will also be giving away pickaxe codes like Christmas candy.
"Some retailers in the US, UK, France and Germany will include a gift code for a free game Merry Mint Pickaxe with any purchase of an officially licensed Fortnite product while supplies continue,” the developers confirmed in a blog post.
Unfortunately, Epic has yet to mention which European or Russian retailers will be stocking the bonus item, leaving avid Fortnite players to figure it out for themselves. There has also been no confirmation that the item will arrive on Australian shores.
No official information has been given as to exactly which products will have a gift code bundled with them, although the upcoming starter pack darkfireis likely to be a good bet. Fortnite figurines and a new line of blasters Nerf could also surprise with rare codes.

The “Refreshingly Festive” item has been confirmed to arrive in the game on Wednesday, November 6th - one day after the pack was activated darkfire- this means that if you have already activated your promo code, you must find a pickaxe Mint Kylo in your inventory on that date.
The mint collectible is also not the first cosmetic item that the Fortnite community has pursued with such zeal. The status of rare equipment options was also acquired Recon Expert, Ghoul Tropperand Codename ELF, who spend over 600 days without a store, and some are still unseen in 2019.
This new seasonal Kirk also looks to be joining an elite makeup group including Piledriver, Throttle and "spikey“, all of which appeared on the in-game store about a year ago as Epic allowed the hype around these rare items to grow.
For now, however, all eyes are on Pickaxe Mint Kylo, in all her greenish glowing glory. The difficulty of getting Mint Kyle in Russia makes her more special when you finally get your hands on her and do your first battle bus jump with her.
