Found A Way On PC To Reset Timer Resident Evil Village Demos
A Steam user shared a way to reset the timer in the Resident Evil Village demo, allowing you to play for over an hour.
Right now, the only thing stopping you from wasting more time on being tortured to death by Lady Dimitrescu is the slight issue that the game isn't out yet.
If you don't want to wait until May 7th, players have found a way to extend the game demo timer beyond the planned 60-minute limit.
As the Eurogamer , a Steam Leaves user shared a useful exploit. Here's how it works:
"one. Disable Steam Cloud for RE1 Demo
2. Download Steam SAM (Steam Achievement Manager).
3. Delete local save files (located: D:\Steam\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\1541780\remote\win64_save\ Delete these files.
4. Launch Steam SAM.
5. Select RE8 Demo.
6. Delete achievements and stats, confirm."
As you may have guessed, this means that it will only work for PC players. PS4 and Xbox Series X/S fans will have to stick to the time limit and wait for the launch.
Two demos of Resident Evil Village were made available prior to release. The latter lets you explore the in-game castle and village, but it's only available this weekend. You'll have to act fast if you want to experience the long-awaited title for yourself ahead of next week's launch.
Resident Evil Village is a survival horror game set three years after Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. It features returning characters Ethan Winters and Chris Redfield, and also debuts fan-favorite Lady Dimitrescu as an antagonist.
