Watch out for exclamation marks!
Exclamation points are really important in Narcos Idle Cartel because they help you understand how the whole production workflow works. If there is an exclamation point, it means that the area in question needs a few more updates to function properly.
You have three main areas in the game that can and should be upgraded:
- Squad : Affects the amount of base materials delivered to your workers
- Market : affects the amount of finished goods you can sell
- Workbenches : the actual production area where you create various products for sale
You have to find the perfect balance here and make sure you always deliver at least as many materials as your workers require and then have enough bandwidth to take those goods and turn them into cash.
In most cases, you'll need to work on upgrading the Market and Stockroom first to make sure you have a good flow, and then focus on maximizing the various jobs you've unlocked.
Upgrade workbenches from bottom to top
The general rule of thumb when it comes to goods production is that higher level workbenches (those pointing down) tend to generate more revenue.
That's why we recommend upgrading from the bottom up. This way you make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
Another important thing when buying workbench upgrades is to make sure you factor in the increase in "Huge Production Bonus". They are offered when you reach a certain milestone level - for example, level 25, 50, 100, and so on. Whenever you reach that milestone, that particular workbench will produce a lot more resources.
Upgrade your products for extra money
While you tend to get more resources from the jobs below, you have no control over the type of item they produce: they are all randomized in each chapter.
But you can level up individual items - and you should - to increase profits whenever and wherever you produce that item.
In order to upgrade products, you will need a certain number of cards for that product, as well as points of influence (weapons) to upgrade.
In the beginning, you won't have much micromanagement because you'll only have a limited number of maps available, but as you progress through the game, you'll start to have a few headaches and decide what to update and what not.
There are dozens of products that you will end up with. Narcos Idle Cartel, and there will never be enough resources to make the most of them. At this point, you will have to focus on the rarest of them - level them up when you have the opportunity to get an income boost.
Another strategy to be used would be to keep your cards and influence in storage until you start a new chapter. When this happens, click on the "Product Update" button at the bottom left of the screen and level up the products you will be using in that particular chapter.
This method ensures that you really spend your resources (especially influence points) on things that will really affect your game - at least for the duration of one chapter. This is the recommended method for troubleshooting.
Unlock a new area before exiting the game
You unlock areas for new workbenches in batches of 5. But for each new area, you need to complete some specific quests related to that area (usually by producing a certain number of items from previous areas) and also spend some time waiting to actually unlock it.
It would be better to take a look at these requirements in order to unlock a new area and work on it as soon as possible. If you manage to complete the requirements before exiting the game, you can start working on unlocking it while out of the game.
In most cases, it won't be easy to get to that first area (or the new one) in one go, but try to plan your game time so you start working on unlocking before going out for a longer period of time.
Increase runaway power for better rewards
Whenever you complete a new chapter, you will receive a prestige-like bonus. This consists of you tapping the screen as quickly as possible within a limited period of time. Depending on how much you click - and how many times you fill the progress bar - you will receive special cards as a reward.
However, you will find that filling these lanes becomes more and more difficult as you move up the chapters. But you can increase the power of the tap by upgrading the character cards in the game.
Others can help you with this, but one of the starting characters will surely do it: Felipe is an epic character that you get at the beginning of the game, and leveling him up will increase your punching power. Do this as soon as you get the chance to greatly increase your rewards after each chapter.
And once you're there, make sure you use at least three fingers to touch the screen as quickly as possible. There is nothing better than free maps for you!
Check the store for additional cards and chests

You can even watch it multiple times in a row to add 4 extra hours to each ad view to make sure you're always running at your best in that area. This will help you complete levels much faster!
Receive an influence bonus from a dove
From time to time a dove lands on the roof of your pantry. He is a very special guy with a very special offer: you can watch ads to get free influence points. Be sure to accept this offer because you won't see a pigeon very often!

Micromanaging your managers

These manager cards are received as a reward for playing or bought in a store. There are three categories of managers: those that increase speed, those that increase output/production, and those that give discounts when leveling territory.
You should always use the less common managers as they have the best buffs. In addition, you should plan your upgrades ahead of time and get discounts when you want to buy, then switch to a manager that increases production or income to always run at maximum capacity.
It takes a little time, but in general it helps a lot, so you should pay attention to it.
Choose wisely when to move on to a new chapter
To move on to a new chapter, you need to complete a series of missions. But even after completing these missions, you can keep playing even longer to complete even more missions and get more rewards.
In most cases, it's best to be patient and not rush into a new chapter: the rewards you get from these missions will benefit you, with new cards to win, or influence, or premium currency.
Move on to a new chapter only when you are sure that you have completed as many missions as possible (or when there are no missions left).
