Neon Valorant: how to play, abilities, tips and tricks.
Want to know how to play Neon in Valorant? Here is a complete guide to her abilities and how to use them to beat the competition.
Valorant's eighteenth agent and vicious Filipino duelist, Neon is the definition of fast and furious. Able to run multiple times around her opponents in the blink of an eye, her flamboyant personality and collection of speed abilities make her perfect for those who enjoy an aggressive playstyle.
However, as you understand, mastering the speed queen in the flagship FPS from Riot Games will not be easy. So, here is a summary of her abilities, as well as how to play her in Valorant.
Valiant Neon: Abilities
As we said, Neon loves speed, but she also has the ability to manipulate electricity on a whim. However, it all depends on her "Charge", which increases over time, similar to Viper's passive fuel reserves.
- C - PROTECTIVE TUNNEL: STARTS two parallel power lines forward over the ground. The lines extend for a short distance or to the nearest surface, after which they form two energy barriers that block vision and deal damage to enemies passing through them.
- Q - JUMPING PROJECT: INSTANTLY throws an energy projectile that bounces off the surface once. When the projectile touches the ground, the ground beneath it becomes electrified and a deafening explosion occurs.
- E - HIGH SPEED: Instantly builds up charge to increase speed. While in a charged state, press the ALT button. FIRE to slip through. Slither's cooldown resets after every two kills.
- X - POWERFUL: Neon uses all his energy and speed for a short time. Press the FIRE button to transform the energy into a deadly high precision electric beam. The duration of the skill is extended after each kill.
At first glance, the most useful part of her base kit is her ability to PROTECTIVE TUNNEL, which, although it costs quite a lot of credits, is great for providing access to the site or, conversely, a quick escape route for you and your allies.
However, what really shines is her Ultimate. Giving you the ability to shock opponents with lightning and stay unscathed with her quick dashes and quick slides, in the right hands this can earn you an easy team ace.
How to play Neon in Valorant
If you're someone who likes to get close to the thick of things, hit hard, and then dash to safety, then Neon is the character for you. However, we've never seen anything like her speed in Valorant before, so it takes some getting used to.
It is simply necessary to enter the training map and check its signature and ultimate abilities. Once you get a feel for how fast she's moving, you can use these accompanying slides to race across open spaces while dodging the gunsight of the Jett-wielding Operator. Of course, you can also use it to flank, getting kills from behind while returning to safety.
