New Fortnite In-Game Currency "Wad"

New leaks point to a new in-game currency coming to Wad in Season 5 of Fortnite.
Season 4 of Fortnite is nearly complete, which means fans are looking for opportunities for Season 5. We haven't heard much about what the next phase of Fortnite will bring us, but insiders have spotted a few things that could come in the future.
Hypex, one of the most popular data miners in the community, recently tweeted about the new "Wad" element that was added to the game files in the latest update. According to his tweet: "The plan is for the currency to appear in stashes and safe."
Based on the information we have, the item appears to be in-game currency (i.e. in-game currency in a match, not in-game currency like V-bucks).

Now to the speculative part. We don't know what this item will be used for in the game, but there has been a lot of talk that Epic could potentially add something similar to Warzone's Buy Stations.
None of these conversations came from official sources, but streamers and fans of the game would love to see something like trading stations in Fortnite. They also seem to have the infrastructure for this with the Vending Machines from the previous chapter.
As far as "stashes" and "safes" go, we might see something like a buried treasure that was there for one or two seasons in Chapter 1. For those who don't remember, back in Season 7 you could grab the treasure . Taking a map from the chest, she directed you to a nearby buried treasure.
Of course, these are just speculations and we have no idea what this "Money" is for if it makes it into the game. We can only hope that something like Warzone buy stations will someday appear in Fortnite and this could be our chance.
