CS:GO introduced a huge chat wheel feature in Operation Broken Fang, improving on the old communication system. Here's how you can customize it to suit your needs.
CS:GO has always had a ping system to communicate with teammates on certain issues. However, it has long been outdated, and new games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and even Rainbow Six: Siege have completely displaced Valve's title from its former position.
However, Operation Broken Fang has changed the rules of the game. The ping and chat wheel in CS:GO has been brought back and redesigned to modern requirements. There are a variety of new commands that you can use to quickly communicate with allies. The best part? You can customize it to suit your play style.
Setting Up Your New CS:GO Chat Wheel
The new CS:GO chat wheel can be easily configured in the in-game settings menu. You can set up to three chat wheels that you will have access to. With each wheel, which has 8 options, you can associate up to 24 commands - up from the previous 15.
Commands are also more useful. They can ping sites on the minimap, notify teammates where you need help, and more.
Here's how you can customize the chat wheel to your liking.
- Launch CS:GO and open the settings tab.
- Navigate to Keyboard/Mouse > Chat Wheel Keys.
- Click the chat wheel you want to customize.
- Click the message you want to replace and the message you want to replace it with.
- Save changes and play.
The new CS:GO chat wheel has dozens of customization options.
