New Genshin Impact Boss Azhdah - Where To Find And How To Defeat
Here's where to find and how to defeat the new Ajah (Sealed Lord) boss from the Genshin Impact 1.5 update.
Azhdha (Persian: اژدها Azhdha, "Dragon") is a dragon mentioned in some Li Yue legends; The Nameless Treasures are engraved with drawings that tell his story and the task of the world "Footprints in the Tianqiu Valley» associated with it. In version 1.5, Ajdaha was released as a Weekly Boss in the dungeon under the Suppression tree.
Description of Azhdahi
A huge dragon, as old as the mountains themselves. In an era that was almost forgotten, he stood shoulder to shoulder with the one who ruled the stone harbor. But eventually the two came into conflict and the dragon was banished to a dark place deep underground. Over the long years of his imprisonment, his power slowly dissipated. It is also disfigured from various types of erosion to which it has been subjected. The faint rattle of this dragon lord's shackles and his deep, angry growls echo through the depths of the mountains like memories of a bygone era.
How to open the dungeon under the suppression tree?
For the first time, the player will meet Azhdaha during the Zhong Li story quest “The History of Antiquity. Chapter II". Defeating the boss in the quest will be easy, given that Zhong Li himself and an unknown force will join the Traveler's group, which will restore the HP of all characters. You will have to fight in the new dungeon Under the Tree of Suppression.
How to Defeat Azhdaha
After completing the quest, Azhdah will become a weekly boss - you can fight him alone or together through the search for players. Without Zhong Li (if the player has not knocked him out of the banner) and Kun Jun, the fight can become a problem - Azhdaha has physical and elemental attacks in his arsenal.
Azhdaha switches to a specific element when the health bar drops to 75% and 50%. Attacks differ depending on the element:
- Hydro: Floating bubbles fly from the boss and swirl around the arena.
- Electro: Broad lines appear on the ground from the center, charged and empty, and fireballs.
If a character falls under such an attack, he is automatically marked and continues to receive elemental damage. In a joint passage, the mark is placed only on the character who fell under the elemental attack, and in a single pass, on all heroes. Carefully monitor the status of the group's shields so that the elemental attack does not take you by surprise.
The current elements that the boss will use are reflected on the entrance to the cave.
Azhdahi also has physical attacks:
- Charged attack - the boss accelerates and attacks the character with his head.
- Leap — Ajdaha jumps up and falls to the ground, inflicting area damage.
- Kick - the ground splits from the point of impact.
- Ground Stomp - Lord Vishapov slams the ground three times, dealing AoE damage.
- Tail Sweep - The character behind Azhdah will take damage from the tail.
- Stalagmites - The boss shoots stalagmites that will explode after a couple of seconds.
- Meteor shower - target circles appear on the ground, into which stone charges fall from the ceiling. At this time, Azhdaha dives underground and swims towards the player.
It is possible to avoid most of Ajdaha's physical attacks if you have a powerful enough ranged character. Elemental attacks cover the entire arena, so you need to be careful.
Awards
From Azhdahi, as well as from other weekly bosses, you can collect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ artifacts Gladiator's End and Wandering Ensemble, as well as Norseman's weapon preparations. To exalt the character, you can knock out the Dragon Lord's Crown, Blood Jasper Branch and Gilded Scales.
Another new item in version 1.5 is Dream Dissolver, an alchemy consumable. With it, materials for exaltation are converted: if, for example, you have a Devil Sword Shard, but you need a Celestial Whale Horn, you can select the appropriate recipe on the second tab of the alchemy table.
You can only convert materials from the same boss into analogues.
