New K'Sante League Of Legends Champion: All That Is Known
The new champion K'Sante will appear in League of Legends before the end of 2022.
Ryan Mireles, lead producer of Riot Games' hit MOBA, League of Legends, announced that a new top-lane champion would be introduced this year. While details about the set are still unclear, the character's story and where they will play in the Rift have been tweaked a bit.
The new champion, K'Sante, Pride of Nazuma, hails from a relatively unknown part of Shurima in the city of Nazuma.
Azuma is described as an oasis city on the outskirts of the desert, and it is worth noting that it is one of the few places in Shurima that refuses to submit to Azir. Many of the cities in Shurima have fallen into disrepair to the point that their inhabitants must obtain as little food and water as possible to survive; this city is no exception.
Q'Sante is a hunter who leads the people of Nazoom in their fight against giant monsters that roam their land. The new hero's weapon, dubbed Ntofos, is crafted from the regenerating skin of one of these monsters and can shed its hulking exterior to reveal the sharpened blades within.
According to Mireles, Ntofos is usually used defensively but can be destroyed at any moment to deal massive damage and then revert to blunt form to "knock the crap out of you".
The lead producer did not give a specific release date for K'Sante, saying only that it would be "later this year". However, August is almost over, so players won't have to wait long.
K'Sante is one of three new champions LoL is about to introduce, per Mireles, who revealed that a fourth Darkin and a sorcerer from the Ixtal region will arrive by 2023. A number of current champions will also be reworked.
