Update 11.4 for TFT with Massive Chosen Rework, Cale Nerfs and more.
The Teamfight Tactics 11.4 patch is ready for testing on the PBE, and there are a lot of big changes on the way. Riot plans to completely overhaul Chosen's mechanics to reduce RNG, while almost every meta component in the game - from Kayle to Nidalee - will be nerfed.
Now that TFT Set 4.5 is in full swing, Riot is happy with the state of the champions and traits. Now they're aiming for Chosen. The set's unique mechanics have received some balance changes, but none of them are similar to what's in the TFT 11.4 patch.
These and other "experimental" changes are what players can expect in the next Teamfight Tactics update. Here's what we know so far.
When will the TFT 11.4 patch be released?
The TFT 11.4 update is currently scheduled to launch on Thursday, February 18th. It will launch in Oceania at 10:00 AM ET and then roll out to all regions. Although the patch is usually released on Wednesday, this week it was delayed.
Patch 11.4 for League of Legends will also be released at the same time.

TFT patch 11.4 Selected rework reduces RNG
The Chosen mechanic was changed during Issue 4, but not like this. Riot is practically redoing it in patch 11.4 for TFT.
Chosen will now be offered in every store if you don't have one. This means you can be much more selective with the choices you make and reduce some of the RNGs that came with levels 7 and 8.
However, the odds have been drastically changed to balance this. Costs 4 and 5 will be more difficult to choose, while costs 2 and 3 will be fairly easy to overcome throughout the game. Flipping players who find that an early 1 cost is chosen will also appreciate the change.
However, TFT developer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer stated that the changes are "highly experimental" and cannot be implemented. “We're using this cycle to test some big changes, but don't expect them to be released. If you happen to play any PBE games, feel free to let us know what you think,” he said on Twitter.
Morning everyone. Patch 11.4 comes to PBE today, and with it some VERY experimental changes to Chosen. We're using this cycle to test out some big changes, but don't assume they will ship. If you happen to play any PBE games, feel free to let us know what you thought. pic.twitter.com/5HayDpA6qX

TFT Patch 11.4: Additional Performance Changes
In addition to the main changes in Chosen, other features are changing in this update. Warlord, Brawler, Elderwood and Duelist have been targeted to varying degrees.
For Warlord, these are ubiquitous nerfs. Units now have reduced health along with less spell power. The same can be said for the Brawler as the units have had their health and AD lowered.
Meanwhile, Elderwood units now have less armor, as well as lowered AD and spell power. Last but not least, Duelists have been slightly reduced.
Balance Changes у Kayla, Yasuo, Nidalee and Nico
From a balance standpoint, Riot is targeting almost every meta company in the game. However, public enemy number one is Cale.
If the refinements of the Deity in patch 11.3 for TFT was not enough, direct nerfs to Kayle may knock her off the tier list somewhat. She loses some damage at two stars, which can affect her carry ability. Oh, and 2 and 4 Divine hit again.
The duelist roll with Yasuo's carry also suffered a lot. Riot reduces his damage at all levels and also increases the attack speed of the Duelist trait.
Other meta components, including Diana's reroll, Nidalee rerolls, Warlords, Katarina, Shyvana-Brawler, Wukong's reroll, Nasus' reroll, and carry Zed, will also be nerfed. Fiora and Samira also made bad lists for Riot.
On the other hand, Niko is the big winner of TFT patch 11.4. Cost 3 Fabled Mystic gains bonus damage at all levels, which is a huge boon for Vanguard Mystic players. Other legends Nautilus and Cho'Gath are buffed, as is Vanguard Braum.
Xayah, Irelia, Kennen, Olaf, Talon, Tryndamere, Yene have all been buffed, as have the Gargoyle Stone Plate, Quicksilver, and the Cultist trait.
