CoD Mobile: Black Ops Season 3 Update - Maps, New Mode & More
CoD Mobile isn't slowing down and Season 3 will be the next tactical shooter in 2022 to keep the mobile game fresh. We will see new maps, weapons, modes and, of course, a large number of cosmetic innovations. While details are scarce just yet, here's an early rundown of everything we know about the next major update.
CoD Mobile has been on the rise to kick off the new year with two massive seasonal updates full of unique content. From 1 season, which gave us several weapons and even the first skins to create content, before 2 season with one of the most stacked battle passes, there was plenty for fans to get hooked on the shooter.
Now Season 3 is looking to keep the hype train on track with another huge drop in content. As always, the usual range of maps and weapons is to be expected, but there can always be a few surprises this time around.
While we may be getting ahead of ourselves, here's a full breakdown of everything we know about Season 3 of CoD Mobile so far.

CoD Mobile Season 3 2022: Release date
Season 3 of CoD Mobile does not currently have a clear release date. Though based on previous seasons along with the current Battle Pass, we can make an educated guess.
The current Season 2 Battle Pass: Task Force 141 should end in Friday, April 1. As a rule, new patches are activated immediately, which makes this the likely launch date for the Season 3 update.
However, keep in mind that Battle Passes can always be extended. We will be sure to keep you updated as soon as the release date for CoD Mobile Season 3 is fixed.
CoD Mobile Season 3 2022: New Cold War Operations, Maps
While the new Season 3 content has yet to be officially revealed, we may have an early idea of what to expect thanks to the latest test server build along with early teasers from the developers themselves.
Black Ops Cold War Satellite Map is one such piece of content that appeared in the new test. While the vast majority of ported cards lately have come from Modern Warfare, that trend could be broken in Season 3 with this Treyarch design.
Satellite was a starter card during the Cold War and had a medium-sized layout with verticality at its core. Teams that controlled the high ground towards the center of the map often had an advantage.
However, as with the release date, it's worth taking this with a grain of salt for now. We've seen previous test builds tease content that came months later, so there's no guarantee the Satellite map is ready for Season 3 to launch.
However, another Black Ops Cold War map seems to be key to Season 3. The official CoD Mobile Twitter account hinted at the Miami.
It is currently unknown if we will get a full scale map or a smaller version of Strike.
CoD Mobile Season 3 2022: New weapons
Each new season in CoD Mobile usually brings at least one new weapon to the table, and the upcoming Season 3 patch doesn't seem to be any different.
Several weapons and gear have been spotted in an early test build, and while it's not a guarantee that all of them will appear as part of the next big update, it's safe to expect at least one of the following additions.
Goes first Mac-10 SMG. This automatic pistol has appeared in many CoD games over the years, and its Cold War iteration has been one of the fastest SMGs in the game.
So far, the Mac-10 is the only new weapon we've seen from developers indicating that it is locked for Season 3 update.
Followed by Koshka sniper rifle from Black Ops 4 with melee weapon Kali Sticks from Modern Warfare 2019. While we could see all three of these weapons coming to CoD Mobile at the same time, there's always the possibility that some of these items could be kept for future updates.
Last but not least, this is a new piece of equipment that blurs the lines between tactical and lethal grenade. Although the exact name has not been provided, early translations indicate that this equipment emits lethal radiation that not only burns nearby targets, but also lowers their maximum health for a period of time.
CoD Mobile Season 3 2022: Ground War Game Mode
Our last tidbit from the latest CoD Mobile Test Server build suggested that Ground War is on its way to a portable game. This big team playlist will include 12 vs 12 matches on the big maps of the game.
Also, players seem to have access to vehicles in these large-scale battles. Motorcycles, assault vehicles and even tanks were mentioned in the files.
As always, none of the above is official yet until we see confirmation from the developers themselves. Though it seems like Season 3 is shaping up to be another massive CoD Mobile update.
